Selling the gospel for money too

( (Luke 19:45 KJV) And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; 46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Sadly in real life both God, Good and bad preachers coexist but presently the bad preachers seem to outnumber the good ones 2:1 http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/08/23/to-the-bad-preacher/

Most preachers today who sell the gospel for money tend to be still false themselves too. Neither Jesus Christ, His apostles, nor any early Church Christians sold any portion of the Gospel to others, rather they clearly gave freely to all others in need..

I have been preaching freely the Gospel of the New Testament, Jesus Christ freely for over 50 years and I have never taken even one church offering or have asked for any money for doing so..

The Old Testament and the New Testament tells many an account of the false prophets who now also had betrayed God, Jesus for money..

The religious spirit, Hireling, false TV evangelists, false prophets, false preachers, false Apostles,  will try to sell you  on a tape, book, video, book even called “30 Pieces of Silver: Overcoming religious spirits.” and will also ask you… to Prayerfully consider partnering with them taking the gospel of the Kingdom of God into all the world and sign up for their free newsletter. Unlike Jesus.. they do not give out anything freely.. what they give you freely often is “suckers’ bait”..

.
I was having a discussion as to how Jesus himself was more of a Liberal than a Conservative, for he told his disciples themselves to feed, to look after the good welfare of  His  sheep.. not rather solely to collect money, or the wool  from them..

Money and the Ministry

Mat 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, 10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. 11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. 12 And when ye come into an house, salute it. 13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

(Jer 6:27 KJV) I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way. 28 They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters. 29 The bellows are burned, the lead is consumed of the fire; the founder melteth in vain: for the wicked are not plucked away. 30 Reprobate silver shall men call them, because the LORD hath rejected them. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/09/13/a-hireling-in-an-evangelical-church/

NO ONE HAD REALLY NOW WARNED ME BASICALLY IN REAL LIFE THAT I WOULD HAVE TO NEXT TOO OFTEN LEARN HOW TO RECOGNIZE THE SHEEP FROM THE WOLVES, EVEN IN THE MUCH TOO MANY BAD CHURCHES NOW AS WELL. Never mind those in the false cults like Mormonism, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah Witnesses, etc.. TO ME ONCE THE LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD WAS JUST ANOTHER CHILDISH BED TIME STORY AND NOT REAL LIFE. NOR DID I ENVISAGE IN REAL LIFE THAT THERE ARE SO MANY LYING PINOCCHIOS NOT JUST WOLVES ABOUNDING EVEN IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCHES.  THE CHURCH THESE DAYS NOW TOO OFTEN HAS BECOME MONEY GATHERING SOCIAL CLUBS MADE OF UP OF MOSTLY RICH, OR PAID UP MEMBERS, ALL TRYING TO IMPRESS THE OTHERS, ALL MOSTLY TRYING TO LOOK GOOD BEFORE THE OTHERS. NOT RATHER BEING A LEGITIMATE INSTITUTION RIGHTFULLY HELPING THE SINNERS TO GET STRAIGHTENED AND ALSO HELPING ALL OF THE POOR AND NEEDY PERSON THERE TOO  http://wittnessed.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/little-red-riding-hood-meets-pinocchio-in-church/

.

False preachers tend not to preach the whole word of God, will of God, rather they tend to be for hire in their preaching and even do preach trying to please their paying masters, they tend to exalt false men, and preach their own values, their own false rules as well.. their own false definitions of what is important, and they abuse others and allow others to be abused who do not give them what they want, do not go along with them and as a result history repeats itself,  http://thenonconformer.yolasite.com/index/hireling

 .
(1 Cor 2:12 KJV)  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

(Rev 21:6 KJV)  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

(Rev 22:17 KJV)  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

“I will punish her for the days of the Baals When she used to offer sacrifices to them And adorn herself with her earrings and jewelry, And follow her lovers, so that she forgot Me,” declares the LORD.
 .
(2 Ki 5:20 KJV)  But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.  21  So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well? 22  And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments. 23  And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him. 24  And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed. 25  But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither. 26  And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants? 27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

(Gal 2:10 KJV)  Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

(Rev 19:20 KJV)  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
(Rev 20:10 KJV)  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

(Judg 2:11 KJV)  And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:

(Jer 9:14 KJV)  But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:
(Hosea 2:17 KJV)  For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
(Heb 10:38 KJV)  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

We all do even  need to seriously know, differentiate between how God now deals with the wicked, those persons deliberately disobedient to him, he God does not go along with them for sure .. God’s grace of forgiveness even does not extend to everyone..
.
and next the righteous those people who put their trust in him.. God is merciful, kind to them, but not all professing Christians now are righteous for sure as well.

False prophets are too common and they also will get what they deserve  too.
.
(Acts 13:6 KJV)  And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

(1 Tim 6:10 KJV)  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
.

The sin of Baal worship includes the false love of money and the things money buys.

(Acts 4:10 KJV)  Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
.
Luke 6:46 Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?
.
God still judges you not just by what you profess to believe but also by what you do
.
(Mat 10:8 KJV)  Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
.

The free Gospel is a Biblical fact!

.

(Rom 3:24 KJV)  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

(Rom 8:32 KJV)  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

It is also true that one can test the real spirituality of a preacher as to how he responds to money, how he treats the salvation of the Jews and also how he or she treats the poor people now too!

  5. (Acts 13:6 KJV) And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” —2nd Corinthians 11:3-4

I have to admit the common misleading definition of a false prophet I seem too often to see on the net is falsely rather any Pentecostal preacher

“Many people are pursuing prophetic ministry and it seems there is no lack of confusion surrounding its proper function. Whether you are called to prophetic ministry or just serving Christ with all your heart, you will be faced with many odd, even strange things that will require much spiritual discernment during your walk with God.” Spiritual discernment will come from the Holy Spirit and you can find confirmation in many Scriptures throughout the written Word of God. Firstly it seems Jezebel and Baalim prophets are the prevailing enemies of true prophetic ministry. These spirits intend to hijack the prophetic ministry and hold themselves out to be the “experts” in the field. They condemn criticism as irrelevant, unloving, ignorant and judgmental. Even legitimate miracles in meetings do not confirm these ministers are flowing right. Scripture says, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:22-23).

” One particular trait among some ministers is the love of money that finance extravagant lifestyles. Some who embrace these spirits are merchandisers. A merchandiser sells prophecies, healings, religious oils, potions and various products that reinforce their message. Typically they work within their own networks, focusing on getting as much money from people as possible. They have all kinds of gimmick offerings that manipulate people. They are always recruiting followers to join their groups. I have seen some work every kind of evil when it comes to stealing from God’s people.”

For me thus a common false prophet is also a person who has the genuine gifted office of the prophet but who tries to exploit his gifts for personal materialistic gain.. NO prophet is anointed by the Holy Spirit to curse God’s people. so now what we should do is first look at the persons in the Bible who specifically are called by name as being false prophets before we make our down supposedly sounding great but misleading definitions .. by proper rules of biblical interpretation and the law of first mention we should look at Baalim ? the false Prophet.. (1 Ki 18:18 KJV) And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

Luke 6:46 Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you?
(Luke 19:45 KJV) And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; 46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Now Piper has been called a false prophet and what surprised me next was that he did not deny it.. now that is not the first time I have seen that too. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/08/28/what-another-false-prophet-too/

  6. While there are many false prophets among us, I can’t believe that you lumped Ernest Angley in among them. He is a consecrated godly man who uses donations for the furtherance of the Gospel. He lives a simple life-style.

There are a many people healed of AIDS and other sicknesses through his crusades. In particular, there are 4 documented cases of orphaned children being completely healed of AIDS in South Africa.

and where Noiw did I mention him http://www.ernestangley.org/ specifically by name? please do show me.. Others may have.. I did not.

But does he now beg, appeal for money like the others still too? Does he collect tithes too?

or is he unlike Rev George Mueller who asked God alone for money and really lived by faith in God?

  8. Ernest Angley strictly teaches tithing, even though it is an old Testament teaching that was part of the Law.His Friday night services regularly include a ONE HOUR money collection.I have heard him say that if you object to his money collection method, then that proves that you are not right with God.I believe that he is a holy, consecrated man of God,but some of his teachings are WAY off.I took a non-Christian friend to Angley’s service one time, and he was highly offended by the one hour money collection. You are also required to raise your hand to indicate exactly how much you are going to give.People carry their donations up front and hand them to Angley, and he reads off the a mount to the whole congregation. This is wrong, either shaming people into giving,or appealing to their pride to get them to give.Downright embarrassing.

  9. A Preacher having a person set forth a public example by coming to the front can be an acceptable reinforcing approach for the person himself..

But God prefers a cheerful giver, not one compelled to give?

While even I have yet to meet one perfect person, pastor, evangelist too

But now I too have often wondered how some professing Christians can be so off on some of their Christianity and yet claim to be led by the Holy Spirit. For generally i have noticed when they are so off on one area, they are also wrong in other areas now too.. and they can, do mislead others too.. for me a wrong direction is a wrong direction that still needs to be corrected by both praying for the person and next telling them as well

Hero worshipping is still a sin too..

Open Giving, there is a real danger here also of one next falsely trying to be saved by one’s good works as opposed to living by faith in God

Pride is still really deadly.. meaning bragging, showing off, and the Bible Cleary says that we are to give in humility, in a manner that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Now I have been ministering to others for over 3 decades and I have never seen once the need to ask any person for money for my ministry, or to take a collection at one of my services too. God is able and does supply what I need, and if he isn’t supplying it it is likely not his direction for me too. I know for an absolute fact that God had let me decades ago from the start of the internet to do a lot of ministry freely and specially over the internet. For one thing it certainly reaches a lot of people, younger persons especially

I also do know that sometimes when I got too much money it was associated with me having greater temptations to do wrong too.

WHAT IS GENERALLY WRONG WITH OUR ATTITUDES

THERE IS ALWAYS THE ISSUE OF LEGITIMATE RELGIOUS SERVICES COLLECTIONS AND ALSO NEXT THE ILLEGITIMATE ABUSE OF THE MONIES COLLECTED ..

Now clearly the Apostles had weekly money collections to help the poor, AND SUPPOSEDLY TO SUPPORT THE CHRISTIAN WORKERS AND THEIR FAMILIES .

Even Jesus himself had a collection to feed the poor persons, some how in many churches these days helping the poor people physically, even in the local churches has been left out. Why?

I also cannot help but notice most of the world’s wealth seems to be in North America still too..
