Are you another Judiazer, a false Sabbath day worshipper?

21

NOW ABOUT THOSE DEMONIC LED PEOPLE WHO FALSELY STILL TRY TO MAKE YOU WORSHIP ON THE SEVENTH DAY, THE SABBATH, AND THAT IS NOT THE ONLY FALSE BONDAGE THEY DO TRY TO PUT ON YOU FOR SURE..  AFTER ALL THE DEVIL IS LEADING THEM TO DO ALL THIS AND NOT GOD.  http://witnessed.wordpress.com/2014/01/01/holy-spirit-ignorant-persons-do-teach-lies-rather-too-often/

.

Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

.

Most people take isolated verse and twist them to suit what they want others to believe still

.

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

2 Corinthians 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” -Romans 16:17-18 KJV

“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I  found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” -Jude 1:3-4

(Isa 30:1 KJV) Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

(Gal 2:3 KJV) 4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

.

Let me be very clear that the devil and his demon followers will try to seduce you in your mind, in your sleep and if he here does not succeed he will send a person to you, one of his clear followers, another false angel of light now too, and to try to do this as well now they will do this by phone, email, personal visit and they also will ask you to do something wrong on their behalf and/or falsely ask you to take sides in a fight or a dispute

.

Is the Sabbath Day Still Valid Today?  No. The Sabbath was a ceremonial law given only to a specific people (the Jews), during a specific time period (the Old Testament), in a specific region (Palestine). The Sabbath was an object lesson for the Jews, picturing the coming Messiah in Whom believers rest for salvation. When men cease from their self-righteous labors, and rest upon the redeeming blood sacrifice of the Son of God, they are saved (1st Peter 1:18,19). Colossians 2:14-17 plainly teach that the Old Testament ceremonial laws are no longer applicable concerning Christians or Jews… “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ” (Colossians 2:16-17 — Note: All Scriptures are quoted from the trustworthy King James Bible).

.

Jesus is our Sabbath today, in Whom we completely rest for salvation. God required the death penalty in the Old Testament for a man who  merely picked up some sticks on the sabbath Day (likely to make a fire). Why did God require the man’s death? It is because picking up sticks represents Human Effort in salvation, which is a road to Hell. The Sabbath represents resting solely in Christ Jesus for salvation. Adding even one work negates, corrupts and cancels God’s free gift of grace. Romans 3:20 warns that no flesh can be justified by the keeping of the Law of God. Salvation is by faith alone!
.
Today we honor the “Lord’s Day” on Sunday, the first day of the week, when Jesus rose from the dead; but this is voluntary and not obligatory. It is grace and not law. It was a much better time in America when stores and shops all drew down their shades on Sunday to prevent window shopping. People used to honor the Lord. We’ve lost our nation today because we have forsaken the God of the Bible.;

.

Charles Taze Russell was the founder of Zion’s Watch  Tower magazine in 1879, which evolved into the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Russell  started out as a Seventh Day Adventist, a cult which observes the Jewish  Sabbath, and was an anti-Trinitarian of the Arian school. According to the Watchtower  Observer, “Russell taught that the Jewish people and nation have a leading  role in the Divine Plan for man, and accordingly during the year 1910 he spoke  to vast Jewish audiences, comforting them according to the Scripture, Isa. 40:2…  He encouraged them not to join the various churches of today but to wait  for the fulfilment of the many Old Testament promises that they would be blessed  as a nation. While they were yet a scattered and dispersed people, he said, upon  the basis of these promises, that they would be regathered to Palestine and  established as an independent nation.” Russell was regarded as a “Christian  Zionist, often invited to speak before orthodox Jewish groups… In addition, his  views on Zionism have been hailed by the likes of former Israeli Prime Minister,  Benjamin Netanyahu, and former United Nations Ambassador, Jeane Kirkpatrick.”  (CTR: The Truth)

.

Too many persons here too are wrongfully these days adding or taking away from the word of God, the Bible and that is why there is so much disputes, different contradictory wrings in the Churches also these days.. of course this happens cause there will be always the wolves now amongst us as well, those followers of the devil who want to destroy the word of God too

“But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their teachings commandments of men. For, leaving the commandment of God, ye hold what is delivered by men to keep”, Mark 7: 7-8.

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, that the day of Christ is at hand.” — 2 Thess. 2:1,2.Apostle Peter tells us in his second letter (1.16,19-2.3): For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty …. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place …. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you

(1 Tim 1:7 KJV) Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.(Heb 5:12 KJV) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

.

Still our best personal help basically comes not by listening to other people but personally, daily abiding in God’s word alone.. our help is still not in people, their mere books, sermons, tapes, videos, but dwelling in the Bible alone .. really!!! And all of our Salvation, Deliverance Healing still comes to us by Jesus Christ, not by the OBSERVING THE REDUNDANT NOW LAWS,  LISTENING  TO AND WORSHIPING THE Jews or   anything else….

.

(John 1:1 KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

(John 1:10 KJV) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

(1 John 1:1 KJV) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

.

Many many persons do even today, these days misinterpret the Bible, it’s passages even firstly cause of their own real ignorance of what specifically the whole Bible says, and they as a result also do falsely rely on what others tell them.. which too often is still mere falsehood and lies.

.

One still personally cannot try thus to study the Bible, Old or New Testament in the flesh, without the spirit of God’s HELP who helped to write it now as well.

.

(Rom 8:2 KJV) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

(Rom 8:5 KJV) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

(1 Cor 2:14 KJV) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

(2 Cor 3:6 KJV) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

(Gal 3:14 KJV) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

(Gal 5:18 KJV) But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

(Gal 6:8 KJV) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

(2 Tim 2:15 KJV) Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

(2 Tim 2:16 KJV) But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

(2 Tim 2:19 KJV) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity

(2 Cor 11:4 KJV) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

You  are using still their corrupted, unregenerated, human spirit to try to understand God and his truths and not by the Holy Spirit so they clearly here will fail at it still too. I also know some people have their minds falsely made up about a lot of things based even on the false teaching of their denomination and it would be a great shock to their system to admit it may be wrong..

.

Christians met regularly on the first day of the week (our Sunday), not the Sabbath day (our Saturday) (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). In honor of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday, a day to especially worship Jesus Christ. It is not recorded anywhere in God’s Word that He imposed Sabbath-keeping on any holy men of God (or anyone else), nor how to keep the Sabbath before the Law of Moses was given about 1425 B.C., more than 2,500 years after Creation! Adam, Noah, Enoch , Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Joseph all did not observe the Sabbath and many others.True Christians, whether born-again Jews or Gentiles, have entered the Sabbath Rest which is Jesus Christ. Jesus, himself, did not keep the Sabbath. On the Sabbath, “Jesus said to them [the Jews], ‘My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working.’ For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him; not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He was even calling God His own Father, making himself equal with God” (John 5:17-18). Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for He does not keep the Sabbath” (John 9:16).Jesus did not sin, by not keeping the Sabbath, because He was, and is, sinless. Indeed, Jesus is The Sabbath, in whom Christians (saved Jews and Gentiles) rest. All those who have not been born again, whether Jews or Gentiles, have not entered into The Sabbath rest. The Messianic Jews, Seventh Day Adventists and some other Sabbatarians are still so deceived and so hung up on the Sabbath (which none really keep) that they go to the absurd extreme of claiming that worshipping on the Lord’s Day is taking the mark of the beast!

 .

Messianic Jews, Judaizer , Seventh day Adventist what do they have in common? well they follow the old testament laws for a start, those laws that God has given for the Jewish people alone to observe and not to the Christian Persons.. Christian persons follow solely the laws of the New Testament..
 .

Now about the Judaizers
v. Ju·da·ized, Ju·da·iz·ing, Ju·da·iz·es. v.tr. To bring into conformity with Judaism. v.intr. To adopt Jewish customs and beliefs. ( Not the Christian ones)
 .

Now if I eat meat, can I still claim to be a vegetarian? No, of course not!

 .
Could you be Christian and DENY Jesus and his finished work on the cross as well? NO

 .
SO WITH THE Same logic. You can’t be Jewish, a Jew, a Judiazer and also now EMBRACE Jesus.

Almost a Christian is not the same thing as being a real Christian.

What a really mess this all is with many people following their own religion version basically and not the true religion of Jesus Christ found in the New Testament. Do they even rightfully firstly understand that Christianity teaches that Judaism is the ‘old’ covenant which Christianity has replaced? As nobody today can follow both religions; for they are mutually exclusive.

 .
I agree that once you accept Jesus, you’re a Christian and no longer a Jew or a messianic Jew nor a Seventh Day Adventist…

 .
Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

1 Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

 .
We already know that Colossians 2:6-17 says God abolished the Sabbath..

 .
Colossians 2:6-17 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

 .
And Constantine was what 300 years later AFTER JESUS…. The first Pope did not exist until 606 AD! (over 500 years too late) This is far too late because Christians were meeting on Sundays from the earliest record of history. Now neither the Pope or Emperor Constantine still did not change the Sabbath to Sunday. do you really know what you are even talking about now? in GOD’s name Judiazer do Now for the GRACE of GOD DO NOW stop your lies.. “

The apostle Paul cautions the Philippians against Judaizing false teachers, apostle Paul  SPECIFICALLY calls them evil-workers..  as they work hard at trying to falsely destroy the Christian faith..   Messianic Judaism is not just Christianity for Jews or even Christianity in a Jewish context. It is the modern equivalent of the “Judaizers” who plagued the New Testament in the time of the apostles.   Because of a false infatuation still with Judaism and Israel, Messianic Jews,  Zionists Christians evangelicals, and others falsely do   encourage the establishment of what Revelation calls “ Babylon the Great,” a rising system of anti-Christ Jewish control and oppression centering in Jerusalem.  They falsely do glorify an apostate religious system of which Christ said He would never be seen in again until they say, “Blessed is He (Jesus) that comes in the name of the Lord.” (Matthew 23:39)   Jesus called this rejected system the “synagogue of Satan” for a good reason. Talmudic Judaism masterminded our Lord’s crucifixion. It went on to become the foundation of the modern world revolutionary movement, spawning communism, liberalism, and Jewish financial and media control.  This modern, Christ-rejecting Judaism is now nothing of which to be proud. Christ and the New Testament command us to beware of it (Matthew 16:6, Philippians 3:2, etc.) and flee from “ Babylon” on penalty of loss of our souls. Paul told Peter he “stood condemned” for allowing such Judaizers to again impose the bondage of circumcision. (Galatians 2) But many of today’s Messianic Judaizers want to do much more: impose not just mandatory circumcision on their followers but the entirety of the Old Testament law! What is real Christian spiritual? It is submission  Jesus. Just as He gave up everything in death for our redemption, so we must give ourselves completely to Him as His bride. “Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14:33) Complete repentance and surrender of self is all Jesus truly wants from us. Messianic Jews falsely do not do this.
 .
Wake up Christians!! There is a concerted demonic,  Jewish effort to destroy you. Will you continue to sleep through it all while the antichrist teachings  brainwashes you even more? They are busy changing the religion of Christ into a lawless “Judeo” religion that will bring nothing but your demise.and despair.
 .
2 Cor 11:1  Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. 5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service.9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth.12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works

1 Cor 11:1, 1    Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Colossians 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Matthew 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

The Bible states directly that God will break the bond of brotherhood between Judah and Israel in the LAS DAYS (Zech. 11:10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD. 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD. 14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. 15 And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. 16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces. 17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened. ).

.

This rupture is symbolized by a staff that God names “bands.” Most PEOPLE today would say that Judah is Israel. But it is not! This passage in Zechariah is one of many that proves Israel and Judah are not one and the same. JESUS CHRIST IS FROM THE TRIBE OF Judah, AND THE RUPTURE HAS ALREADY OCCURRED..

.

Jesus himself now had replaced Judaism,  had made obsolete Judaism..had destroyed  their Temple now too as it was no longer needed   .

http://www.lavistachurchofchrist.org/LVstudies/GospelAccounts/a47FallOfJerusalem.html

.

Many people know and read the Bible, preach it too so what? many of them are still going to hell cause they are on the wrong track of following  self over God..

.

There is a need to still  hear continually,  personally, directly from the Holy Spirit and his words to you at all times.. and not from mere men..

.

The Holy Spirit will still then lead you to Jesus Christ solely and his words, all those even  found in the New testament..  and we all do  also need to be leading all people to Jesus Christ  too..  1 Corinthians 2″2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. God uses his Word to do this.  Rom 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the Word of Christ.” Faith comes from hearing, hearing what?; hearing from the mouth, the Word of Christ.

.

There are many false alternative revelations that are not from God  still,  many things you can preach or hear  today, even those items from your lusts, your schooling, philosophies, trends, fads of thinking, what your parents told  you, your pastors- teachers told l you, your friends tell you, what society tells you, what professors and so-called thinkers. leaders do  tells you. All what the devil tells you too.. and still  all claiming  to be the truth, in God’s will .

.

 But if it contradicts the world of God, the Bible, the Holy Spirit. and you have to known them all three now  well too,  or it makes you get your eyes of Jesus  and His Words, it is still now only all from the devil. 1 Corinthians 1: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

.

If you do not even know firstly also the Holy Spirit, as you are not even yet walking with Him then really are re you not still mostly putting your faith in things that are all false?

.

Are you really honestly  listening then now  to the Word of Christ or the word of the devil? 1 Jn 3:2 “Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. 1 Jn 3:3 And everyone who thus hopes in Him purifies himself as He is pure.” Purity can come only when the personal Word of God to us still has not been corrupted with man’s thinking and philosophies, even though they are deep and the revelations of demons.

.

Only believing in the pure undiluted Holy Spirit taught Word of God  can it  bring one the real faith. Anything else is of the devil and will bring you next death and destruction. Rom 14:23 “But the one who doubts is condemned if he partakes, because he does not do so from faith, and everything that is not from faith is sin.” Your time is now, your opportunity is now, the choices you make will take you deeper into corruption or deeper into the real faith. Unconfessed Sin will keep you away from the truth.

.

If you listen to, obey  the personal  undiluted Word of God you get and have the real faith, but if you choose instead  the  false philosophical revelations of the devil, you get deceived  with corruption and you are building your house on the sand. The devil speaks the truth too like the young woman who had an evil spirit that spoke the truth about Paul and his associates.

.

There is only one Truth and that is the person of Jesus of the Bible, not even  the Jesus of your own making. If that offends you, if you’re offended by the Truth, then you have a very chilling fate awaiting you in Hell  Even if you claim to be a preacher,  Pastor now too..

.

Now I know specifically the truths that God has taught me personally even the last 30 years as a Pastor  so I can more easily now spot the much too many wolves in sheep clothing rather too.. so should we all…. the Holy Spirit still confirms it all to me too.. that is the reality..

Mormons, the still lost souls

`deEVILhttp://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2008/11/01/the-true-church-of-jesus-christ-2/

.

A true Christian believers set of beliefs, doctrines is based on what the Holy Spirit himself who also is God himself now teaches you and me and his teachings they  will not contradict the Bible..  and it is not rather based solely on what an angel or other men may teach us too.  http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2008/11/01/the-true-church-of-jesus-christ-2/

.

Like all cults, Mormons do tend to  get really upset when you question their own beliefs, Most Mormons think they are Christians. They use Christian words. They say they believe in Jesus and the Bible. They say they pray to God through Jesus. And they try to live good lives. But does God now speak to them even?  for they really are not Christians.

http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/like-all-cults-mormons-do-tend-to-get-really-upset-when-you-question-their-own-beliefs/

.

The truth is that Mormons are not Christians. They use Christian words but the words have non-Christian definitions. They believe in a Jesus, but the Jesus they believe in is not the Jesus of the Bible.   The Jesus of Mormonism differs from the Jesus of the Bible .The Jesus of the Mormonism Bible  is not the real Jesus of the real Bible.   http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2009/09/07/mormonism-vs-biblical-teachings-about-jesus/

.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LDS is not the “Church of Jesus Christ” or the “restored Church of Jesus Christ” as this is fully false, inaccurate . Rather, it is a cult founded in the delusions of Joseph Smith and others.

.

The Mormon doctrine concerning the True Church of Jesus is a maze of confusion and contradiction. The fool Joseph Smith was not raised up by God to bring “forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth”, rather it was the devil. Joseph Smith’s lies show his own deep trouble. For instance:

  1. Smith prophesied that the Civil War conflict between northern and southern states would be so intense that “war shall be poured out upon all nations” (Doctrine and Covenants 87:1-3). It wasn’t!

  2. On February 14, 1835 he foretold, concerning “the coming of the Lord,” that “fifty-six years should wind up the scene” (Roberts 1902, 182). It didn’t!

  3. He suggested that the Mormon Temple would be erected in Independence, Missouri (Doctrine and Covenants 57:1-3). That “prophecy” failed also.

By the criterion of Deuteronomy 18:21-22, Joseph Smith Jr. was a false prophet.

.

The LDS concept of the Restoration that the true church had disappeared from the earth for some seventeen centuries—what it calls the Great Apostasy is a demonic lie.

.

The claimed “restoration of the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods” also never happened. The organization of the LDS Church is not in any sense a valid “restoration” of the organization or offices of the New Testament church.

.

Mormons are are rather still Morons.

.

Like all cults, Mormons do tend to  get really upset when you question their own beliefs, and MORMONS WON’T TELL YOU initially
– that they believe your Church is wrong, that your Christian creeds are abomination to God, and that all of your pastors or Priest are a hireling of Satan.
–  that there is salvation only in their church  and that all others are wrong.
– that those who have been through their temples are wearing secret underwear to protect themselves from “evil”. This “evil” includes all non- Mormons like you.
–  about their secret temple rites at all. If they did, you for sure would spot them as non-Christians immediately.
–  that they think “familiar spirits” are good, and that their Book of Mormon has a “familiar spirit”. The Bible, Leviticus 19;31 says familiar spirits defile one, and are to be avoided at all costs.
– that women receive salvation only through their Mormon husbands, and must remain pregnant for all eternity. Men and women are not equal in God.
–  that they intend to be gods themselves some day, and are helping to earn their exaltation to godhood by talking to you.
–  that they intend to have many wives in heaven, carrying on multiple sex relations throughout eternity, until they have enough children to populate their own earth, so they can be “Heavenly Father” over their own planet!
–  that you were once a spirit-child of their heavenly father, and one of his numerous wives before you were born on earth.
–  that the Virgin Mary really wasn’t a virgin at all but had sex relations with their heavenly father to produce the Mormon version of Jesus Christ
–  that they believe the lie that Jesus had at least three wives and children while he was on this earth.
–  that the “heavenly father” they ask you to pray to with them, is really an exalted man that lives on a planet near the star base Kolob, and is not the Heavenly Father of the Bible at all. More Mormon lies.
–  that Jesus was really Lucifer’s brother in the spirit world, and it was only due to a “heavenly council” vote that Jesus became our redeemer instead of Satan!!
–  that there are over one hundred divisions in Mormonism. They conveniently “forget” this even while criticizing the many denominations within the body of Christ
–  that all their so- called scriptures such as the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine and Covenants, and even their official “Mormon Doctrine” statements do often contradict each other on MAJOR doctrinal points. They claom the  King James Bible is likewise contradicted.
–  that the reason the Book of Mormon has no maps is because there is not one scrap of archaeological evidence to support it!
–  that the state of Utah, which is predominately Mormon, has a higher than the national average of wife-beating, child abuse, and teenage suicide.
 – that their prophet Joseph Smith was heavily involved in the occult when he founded Mormonism.
 – that that they encourage visitations from dead relatives from the “spirit world”, a practice forbidden in the Bible. (Deuteronomy 18:10- 12.)
– that there are many accounts of Joseph Smith’s first vision besides he one they present to you, and all are different
– that their secret temple oaths are based on the Scottish Rite Masons.
– that for years they considered the Negro race inferior, and even one drop of Negro blood prevented a person from entering their temple.
– that they expect Christ to return to their temple in Missouri, but they haven’t built the temple He’s supposed to return to, because they don’t own the property. (It is owned by the “Temple Lot Mormons” who have plans  of their own forr it’s use, and won’t let the Salt Lake City group buy it).
– that they consider your Bible to be untrustworthy and full of errors.
– that Jesus’ death on the cross only partially saves the believer.
– that now  according to Anton Lavey’s Satanic Bible, the demon god of the living dead is called “Mormo”. Is it just a coincidence that the Mormons are so concerned with the dead?
– that on their Salt Lake City Temple they prominently display an upside-down star which is a Satanic symbol known as the Goat’s head.. Why?
– that they believe the Archangel Michael came down to earth with several of his celestial wives, and became Adam in the garden of Eden.
– that that they believe the angel Gabriel came down to earth and became Noah in the days of the flood.
– that their Prophet Joseph Smith prophesied falsely many times. For example, he foretold the second coming of Christ for 1891. The Bible teaches that one false prophecy puts a prophet under death sentence. (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).
– that their Prophet Joseph Smith did not die as a martyr as they claim, but was killed during a gun battle with an angry mob  in which he himself killed two men and wounded a third. The Mob  was upset he had abused their wives and money too. Joseph Smith was no saint at all.
– about the Mountain Meadows Massacre in which they brutally murdered an innocent wagon train of settlers, of over one hundred men, women, and most of the children, traveling through Utah.
– that Joseph Smith taught that there were inhabitants on the moon, and Brigham Young taught there were inhabitants on the sun as well!

WHY WON’T MORMONS TELL YOU THESE THINGS?

.

The False critics of real Christianity resist still having now the Lord Jesus Christ  as part of their lives. “When they look at the Old Testament (OT) and compare it to the New Testament (NT), they fail to see how the two interconnect. They deny that all three persons of the godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) were active in the Old Testament and claim that the Trinity is nothing more than an idea conjured up in the New Testament. Mankind in his sinfulness is more comfortable serving gods who are created in their  image, but the God of true Christianity expects us to be like Jesus Christ  because everything he does is done in truth and righteousness.

.

This is aa  variance with the way the New Testament interprets, fulfills, annuls and completes the Old Testament. For example,  “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.” (Acts 10:34-35). If God does not show favoritism, the Jews cannot an longer presume to enjoy a favored or exclusive status. By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear. (Hebrews 8:13). The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming– not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship (Hebrews 10:1) It is fundamental that all persons, Zionist and Christians,  do read the Scriptures solely with Christian eyes, and that they interpret the Old Covenant in the light of the New Covenant, not the other way round.  Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.  These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.  (Colossians. 2:16-17) This is the most basic hermeneutical error which Christian Zionists consistently repeat is illustrated in the way Christian Zionists continue to regard the Jews as God’s ‘chosen people’ and clearly which is no longer true.  Jesus and the apostles repudiated the notion that the Jews continued to enjoy a special status or relationship apart from faith in Jesus as their Messiah. And now ‘chosenness’ is the gift of God’s grace in Jesus Christ to all who trust in Him, irrespective of their racial origins. In the New Testament and the term is  never used exclusively of the Jewish people, apart from as members of the Church. Jesus Christ is the ‘chosen’ one. Indeed in the New Testament the term is always used to refer to the Church, the Body of Christ (Ephesians 1:11).Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Colossians 3:12) But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10) It is therefore no longer appropriate to designate the Jews as God’s ‘chosen people’. The term has been redefined to describe all those who trust in Jesus Christ.

.

Tithing is not a Christian requirement now as well.. In fact the whole New testament Christian church was helping the Poor Christian persons firstly not just apostle Paul, for they will know we are Christians by how we love one another, not our mere words still too– he Paul was just a delivery boy on behalf of the Christian Church, And all pastors need to help the poor people in their church, all churches too.. Jesus Christ cared for the poor people! yes he fed them, healed them, delivered them too. and all very much unlike these days where the evangelical leaders live high on the hog, and their churches especially seems to be too self centered, have falsely abdicated their duties, roles falsely in helping the poor people.. but seem too readily even these days to steal the tithe..   Undeniably 1/7 of the tithe was to be given directly to the local poor people, can any local evangelical, catholic church ,can  even the cult Mormon prove in fact prove  that they do this? http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/05/28/secret-tithing/

.

Even Polygamy is wrong because it necessarily involves adultery. That is why it is not specifically banned anywhere in the New testament Bible – because it is covered by the laws that deal with adultery.   If you have sex with someone other than your wife then it is adultery, and simply going through a ceremony, even if it is legally valid, cannot make that second woman into a wife in the eyes of God.   Jesus said looking at a women, (who is not your sole wife,) is still adultery too.     Adultery is stealing the sex that does not belong to you, it belongs to another man or women.  99.9 percent of the Christians have never practiced polygamy for centuries now too and that alone should have been quite explicit the clear condemnation of polygamy.   http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2008/05/23/polygamy/

.

Messianic Jews, Judiazers, Seventh day Adventists, Mormons , Jehovah Witnesses  they all do now still have more in common with the Jews over the true Christians as Christians are NOT nor ever will be the restored Jews’ YOU CANNOT BE STILL JUDAIC AND EMBRACE JESUS. It is as simple as that. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2011/11/26/messianic-jews-judaizers-seventh-day-adventist/

The centraility of the cross of Jesus Christ

Here is the sad AND UNDENIABLE reality merely do ask any Mormon, LDS,  Morons, Others,  if they have actually read the Bible itself, read now the only true Bible, read and studied fully both  the New and Old Testament, and not the other books they claim God wrote, and they likely still will tell you they have not rather, studied, never mind applied the Bible, they have mainly heard someone else’s version of what is in the Bible and that is why so many people are lost, church people even now even confused about GOD, JESUS, THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WHAT THE REAL BIBLE ITSELF ACTUALLY SAYS NOW TOO.

“The cross of Christ is clearly central. In a great post on the nature of the gospel, C.J. Mahaney points out that while the gospel is the “good news of God’s saving activity in the person and work of Christ” (a definition he borrows from Jeff Purswell) it focuses more particularly on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. And more specifically still, he asserts, the gospel is summarized by the cross–”For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Cor. 2:2. The resurrection is essential, for without it the cross’s message would be pointless, but the cross is where the gospel is seen most clearly.

The cross, then, proclaims the message that God became man to take upon Himself the punishment for our sins. Further, the perfect and righteous life of Christ–the God Man–enables God to give us the righteousness of Christ graciously and freely. This transaction occurs to those who believe on Jesus Christ and is wholly of grace and not in any way deserved by man. The cross shows the seriousness of sin–in that God would sacrifice His own Son because of the weight of our sins; and it also shows the magnitude of God’s mercy–that God would offer up His Son for us who in no way deserve mercy.

Further, the cross is seen as central in that it is the pinnacle of history, for it is the ultimate display of God’s glory–which is the ultimate purpose for God’s creation and all of its subsequent history. (I would encourage you to check out my friend Nathan Pitchford’s “Meditation for Good Friday” posted over at Reformation Theology Blog which deals with the centrality of the cross in all of history.)

But the cross is not only central to our faith, it is singular. Or rather it should be. What do I mean? Look at these verses:

“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2)“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Gal. 6:14)

The cross–and the Christ of the cross–should be our single treasure, our single pursuit, our single love. Every boast should only be in the light of the cross. Our only boast should be the cross. John Piper put it like this:

“Only boast in the cross of Jesus Christ. This is a single idea. A single goal for life. A single passion. Only boast in the cross. The word “boast” can be translated “exult in” or “rejoice in”. Only exult in the cross of Christ. Only rejoice in the cross of Christ. Paul says, Let this be your single passion, your single boast and joy and exultation.” (from pg. 49 of Don’t Waste Your Life–available as an online book here)

All of life should be viewed through the view of the cross. And as Piper points out later in that book, we can only boast singularly in the cross when our lives are crucified by and on that cross (notice Gal. 6:14b). Everything we do should be as a result of or a reflection of the cross. C.J. Mahaney points this out well in his book The Cross Centered Life. Our struggle to be pure in this world and our struggles to provide for our family–every aspect of our lives is touched by and should be shaped by the cross.

Let us aim to appreciate the centrality and significance of the cross of Christ, and endeavor by God’s grace to make it our single affection, joy, and boast!

On the issue of THE CROSS and Mormons too ..

MORMON’S FALSE  OPPOSITION TO THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR

May it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (Galations 6:14)

To the Christian the cross represents salvation and eternal life, because it was there on the cross that Christ atoned for our sins. It reminds us of the awful cost of our redemption, and of how much we owe the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our hero, our Saviour and our life.

However, Mormon women do not wear a crucifix as jewellery. And the LDS will not permit a cross to be displayed anywhere on their premises. Strangely, seeing they insist that they are Christians, they don’t display any of the other symbols of Christianity anywhere on their premises either. Instead, the inside of their temple is decorated with Masonic/pagan symbols, and the external masonry with pagan, occultic and satanic symbols. (As a matter of interest, the cross is never featured alongside that type of symbolism because they oppose one another.)

Because of the  unbiblical LDS teachings Mormons are taught that they have to earn the right to the forgiveness of their own personal sins through obedience to LDS laws and ordinances, good works and a virtuous life. So they can never be sure whether or not they will eventually make the grade. And this diminishes the work of Christ in their eyes. Consequently, they could never ever be beholden to Christ in the way that Christians are. Nor could they ever enjoy the same saving relationship with Christ as do Christians.

Almost None of the LDS doctrines are biblical. Nor do they bear any resemblance to Christianity. In fact their teaching on the atonement opposes the foundational doctrine of Christian salvation, as preached by the apostles in the primitive church. For this reason Mormons cannot even begin to imagine the joy, freedom from guilt, peace of mind and overwhelming gratitude that accompanies the Christian’s assurance that Christ Himself earned the forgiveness of “my sins” when He bore my penalty in my place, that day on the cross at Calvary. Nor do they realize the utter devotion to Christ that is part and parcel of the Christian life. To the Christian the cross represents salvation from sin. It reminds us of what Christ achieved on our behalf, as well as of the tremendous cost to Himself.

THE REASON FOR THE CROSS

Contrary to what the LDS maintains, the cross wasn’t merely a weapon that was used to execute Christ. It was on the cross at Calvary that Christ defeated Satan, sin, death and hell, and earned our salvation (c/f John 12:31-33). So in the mind of a Christian, the cross is symbolic of all these things.

Furthermore, Christ wasn’t merely “killed,” as the LDS puts it. He went to the cross of His own free will and voluntarily laid down his life for the specific purpose of earning our salvation from the consequences of sin. He could have turned from the cross at any time. But instead He deliberately set His face steadfastly towards Jerusalem, knowing full well what awaited Him there (Luke 9:52). Then He gave His life on that cross, in our place, as our substitute, to pay the penalty for our sins, as was fore-ordained and so graphically illustrated in the “pictures” provided by the Old Covenant sacrificial system.

Throughout the Old Testament God has used the picture language of rituals to explain hard-to-understand concepts that were to become part and parcel of the coming New Covenant of Grace. And salvation from sin through a substitutionary sacrifice was one of these important concepts. You will find a more in-depth explanation of this fascinating topic in the article, “Baptism, Salvation and the Use of Biblical Symbolism,” a lead to which is provided for your convenience, at the bottom of this page.)

Christ’s whole purpose in coming to earth had been to sacrifice His life on that cross at Calvary, so that we could be set free from the stranglehold of sin. And moreover it was the will of God, as foretold by His prophets in the Old Testament.

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man take it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again ….. (John 10:17-18, KJV) (Italics inserted by writer.)

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:43, KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. ….. (Isaiah 53:5-6, KJV)

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. (Acts 8:30-35, KJV)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3, KJV)

And you, being [spiritually] dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (Colossians 2:13-14, KJV) (The writer’s italics.)

… Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (1 Peter 2:24, KJV)

One can’t help but wonder what the LDS  motivation is in teaching these false doctrines, as they will not be found anywhere in the pages of the Bible, no matter how long or hard you search. On the contrary, the above scriptures very clearly tells us that Christ atoned for our sins on the cross at Calvary.

Christ was fully aware that His suffering and death on the cross was the terrible price He would have to pay to cancel our debt of sin. But He voluntarily and selflessly chose to go through with it, for the likes of us:

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die. (John 12: 31-33, KJV).

(Christ said:) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:14-15, KJV)

From that time forth began Jesus to shrew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Matthew 16:21, KJV)

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem (Luke 9:51, KJV)

THE CHRISTIAN’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CROSS

The church I attend has a large cross behind the pulpit, with a crown of thorns resting on it. Hanging down next to it is a banner that reads, “He died for me”. This is very effective in stimulating sincere and fervent worship. And every time I enter the church, I am deeply humbled at the sight of that cross. It reminds me that the best, the bravest and most selfless Person ever, suffered and died for me, in my place, because of my sins. And my heart fills with gratitude. But that is just why the cross is there. It is to remind us of who we are, who Christ is, what He did for us, and how much we owe Him.

Mayer Pearlman had this to say concerning the Christian’s attitude towards the cross of Christ: “The cross is the dynamo which generates in the human heart that response which constitutes the Christian life. ‘I’ll live for Him who died for me,’ states the dynamic of the cross. The Christian life is the soul’s reaction to the love of Christ. The cross of Christ inspires true repentance …..” (Knowing the Doctrines of the Bible, Part Two)

CHRIST’S SHED BLOOD COVERS THE SINS OF ALL WHO TRUST IN HIM

The LDS ignores what the Bible so clearly teaches, and insists that Christ’s atonement only covers the penalty for Adam’s sin and guarantees universal resurrection, thereby opening the way for us to earn the right to forgiveness of our own personal sins. Here are some scriptures that prove without a shadow of a doubt that Christ was crucified to pay the full price of all the sins of those who trust in Him for salvation:

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou salt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21, KJV)

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew. 26:28, KJV)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3, KJV)

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10, KJV)

… Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood (Revelation 1:5, KJV)

We see from the above that Christ’s death on the cross was vicarious, in that He died in our place, to pay the price of our sins. And that’s why the cross was always central to the gospel message preached by the primitive church:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:23-24, KJV)

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18, KJV)

Christians wear a cross as a testimony to their allegiance to Christ and as a symbol of their faith in His atonement for their sin through His sacrificial, substitutionary sacrifice on their behalf on the cross. And churches that follow the teachings of the Bible always prominently display a large cross at their place of worship, as a constant reminder to the congregation of who they once were (condemned sinners) and of what Christ has done for them (set them free from the guilt and the penalty of their sins). It also effectively reminds us of the terrible price He paid for our forgiveness.

THE LDS GOSPEL IS NOT
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
THE GOSPEL THAT CHRIST PROCLAIMED

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Galations 3:21-25, KJV)

THE NEW COVENANT GOSPEL
In His wisdom and mercy God provided a way of salvation under a New Covenant of grace, that allowed for the fallenness of man. In, by and through Christ’s substitutionary atonement on the cross, He dealt with fallen man’s sin problem, and reconciled us to Himself.

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19, KJV)

Although He had no sin, Christ paid the consequences for our sins, in our place, on the cross at Calvary. However, just as the Old Covenant sinner had to identify himself with the substitutionary sacrifice that was to die in his place to cover his sin, so we too need to identify ourselves with Christ by putting our faith in Him. And the moment we do that He becomes our our substitute sin bearer/saviour, and we are counted as being “in Him.”

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, KJV)
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, (Ephesians 1:7-8, NASB)

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:13-14, KJV). (Italics inserted by writer.)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV)

The gospel (good news) of the primitive Church of Jesus Christ was that Christ had ratified a New Covenant of grace for the forgiveness of sins by His shed blood on the cross at Calvary, where He had defeated sin, Satan, death and hell on our behalf.
This was the most amazing, liberating news. All the Old Covenant had ever done was to prove that fallen man could not live up to God’s standards of righteousness. But now the promised Jewish Messiah had come down to earth and had vicariously died to save us both from the consequences of our sins and from the power that sin has over us. The burden of guilt and the resulting fear of death and judgment was to be no more!

After His resurrection Christ appeared to His disciples, instructing them to be witnesses of His death on the cross, and of His resurrection three days later. He also commanded them to proclaim in His name, repentance and the forgiveness of sins:

Then He opened their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. (Luke 24:45-48, KJV). (Italics inserted by writer.)

And then just before His ascension, He confirmed this instruction:

“Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, KJV)

Notice that the gospel was to be all about Him and how He had earned the forgiveness of our sins. They were to be witnesses as to who Christ was and what He had done for and on behalf of fallen mankind through his death and resurrection. This is why the gospel of Christ’s church was, and still is, always centred on Christ and the cross. As Paul said:

We preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (1 Corinthians 1:23-24, KJV)

However, Satan doesn’t give up that easily. Although he knew that he had been defeated and was destined for judgment and hell, he wants to thwart God’s plan to redeem fallen man, and thereby take as many of us with him as he possibly can. With this aim in mind he sends out his messengers to proclaim counterfeit gospels with counterfeit saviours and a counterfeit salvation. Paul warned the church at Galatia concerning this danger:

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galations 1:8-9, KJV)

THE MORMON GOSPEL
As mentioned, the gospel preached by the apostles in the primitive church was centred on Christ, the New Covenant of grace that He had ratified, and the forgiveness of sins that He had earned on our behalf on the cross. In contrast to this, the LDS has banned the symbol of the cross on their premises and their gospel is centred on Joseph Smith, their church and their supposed authority. But this was precisely the sort of thing that Paul was warning us about. The Mormon gospel bears no resemblance to the gospel that Christ instructed the apostles to preach. It is “another gospel.”

Although the LDS calls their gospel, “the gospel of Jesus Christ,” it is in reality the gospel of Joseph Smith. The “good news” that their missionaries proclaim from door to door is that God allowed the church that Christ had died for, to go into total apostasy, and that He also permitted the Bible, the standard of truth that He’d given us for our spiritual guidance and protection, to become corrupted and unreliable. They then go on to claim that their prophet, Joseph Smith, has restored the “true” church in these latter days, and that salvation can now be attained only through themselves.

Christ is sidelined, his atonement is deprecated and Joseph Smith and his LDS church are given all the glory.

One of the things Mormons are taught is that Christ’s atonement only covers universal resurrection. So the sad fact is that although the Bible clearly tells us that Christ died for the sins of those who identify themselves with Him by faith, Mormons don’t go that route. Instead they have opted to follow the way of salvation proclaimed by Joseph Smith, i.e. that they have to earn the right to forgiveness of their sins through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the LDS organization, plus virtuous living. (See the articles on this site entitled “Mormon Salvation and its Deceptiveness.” and “Mormon Salvation Exposed to the Light of the Bible.”)

Considering that under the Old Covenant nobody was ever able to satisfy God’s demands for righteousness in this way, the Mormon gospel places its followers in a precarious position. Not only that, they have trampled underfoot the precious blood of Christ that He so selflessly shed to earn, once and for all, the forgiveness of all our sins:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:7, KJV)

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:9, KJV)

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Revelation 1:5, KJV)

Heralding the Messiah’s imminent coming, John the Baptist exhorted the people, ” Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2, KJV).

During His lifetime Christ also proclaimed the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, which He sometimes referred to as the Kingdom of God. We know that these two expressions mean the same thing because sometimes they are used interchangeably, such as in Matthew 19:23-24.

Christ’s gospel (good news) was that Satan’s reign on earth was all but over because He had come down from heaven not only to atone for our sins but also to defeat Satan, God’s enemy and ours too; thereby breaking his hold on mankind and restoring the rule of God, or the Kingdom of God, on earth.

When we read the book of Acts, we notice that the disciples explained the gospel of Christ to the Jews by showing them via the scriptures, how the Old Covenant had been fulfilled in Christ. And so in order to understand the gospel properly, we will need to take a very quick look at both the Old and the New Covenants.

THE OLD COVENANT

Under the Old Covenant, when the Israelites had sinned, God didn’t tell them that they would have to earn the right to forgiveness (as does the LDS church). He knew fallen man was incapable of ever doing such a thing. So instead, He instituted the substitutionary sacrifice. The sinner had to take an unblemished animal to the altar and place his hand upon its head to indicate that it would represent him, and would die in his place, to cover his sin (Leviticus 1:4, 4:29,33). This was a picture of the coming, promised Jewish Messiah who would sacrifice His life to pay the full penalty for the sins of those who had indicated by faith, that He was their substitute sin bearer.

In his epistle to the church at Galatia, Paul explains that the Old Covenant was used by God to convince fallen man that he is, of himself, incapable of living according to God’s standards of righteousness. The constant plume of smoke arising from the sacrificial altar bore witness of this fact. Although they were God’s chosen people, who had enjoyed His protection and were in possession of His Law, and had every intention of fulfilling it; they nevertheless found themselves continuously slipping up in word, thought and deed. God’s Laws and Ordinances didn’t have the power to save anyone. All they did was reveal the holiness of God on the one hand, and the innate sinfulness of fallen man on the other.

The LDS Gospel is Not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
