The centraility of the cross of Jesus Christ

Here is the sad AND UNDENIABLE reality merely do ask any Mormon, LDS,  Morons, Others,  if they have actually read the Bible itself, read now the only true Bible, read and studied fully both  the New and Old Testament, and not the other books they claim God wrote, and they likely still will tell you they have not rather, studied, never mind applied the Bible, they have mainly heard someone else’s version of what is in the Bible and that is why so many people are lost, church people even now even confused about GOD, JESUS, THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WHAT THE REAL BIBLE ITSELF ACTUALLY SAYS NOW TOO.

“The cross of Christ is clearly central. In a great post on the nature of the gospel, C.J. Mahaney points out that while the gospel is the “good news of God’s saving activity in the person and work of Christ” (a definition he borrows from Jeff Purswell) it focuses more particularly on the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. And more specifically still, he asserts, the gospel is summarized by the cross–”For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” 1 Cor. 2:2. The resurrection is essential, for without it the cross’s message would be pointless, but the cross is where the gospel is seen most clearly.

The cross, then, proclaims the message that God became man to take upon Himself the punishment for our sins. Further, the perfect and righteous life of Christ–the God Man–enables God to give us the righteousness of Christ graciously and freely. This transaction occurs to those who believe on Jesus Christ and is wholly of grace and not in any way deserved by man. The cross shows the seriousness of sin–in that God would sacrifice His own Son because of the weight of our sins; and it also shows the magnitude of God’s mercy–that God would offer up His Son for us who in no way deserve mercy.

Further, the cross is seen as central in that it is the pinnacle of history, for it is the ultimate display of God’s glory–which is the ultimate purpose for God’s creation and all of its subsequent history. (I would encourage you to check out my friend Nathan Pitchford’s “Meditation for Good Friday” posted over at Reformation Theology Blog which deals with the centrality of the cross in all of history.)

But the cross is not only central to our faith, it is singular. Or rather it should be. What do I mean? Look at these verses:

“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2)“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” (Gal. 6:14)

The cross–and the Christ of the cross–should be our single treasure, our single pursuit, our single love. Every boast should only be in the light of the cross. Our only boast should be the cross. John Piper put it like this:

“Only boast in the cross of Jesus Christ. This is a single idea. A single goal for life. A single passion. Only boast in the cross. The word “boast” can be translated “exult in” or “rejoice in”. Only exult in the cross of Christ. Only rejoice in the cross of Christ. Paul says, Let this be your single passion, your single boast and joy and exultation.” (from pg. 49 of Don’t Waste Your Life–available as an online book here)

All of life should be viewed through the view of the cross. And as Piper points out later in that book, we can only boast singularly in the cross when our lives are crucified by and on that cross (notice Gal. 6:14b). Everything we do should be as a result of or a reflection of the cross. C.J. Mahaney points this out well in his book The Cross Centered Life. Our struggle to be pure in this world and our struggles to provide for our family–every aspect of our lives is touched by and should be shaped by the cross.

Let us aim to appreciate the centrality and significance of the cross of Christ, and endeavor by God’s grace to make it our single affection, joy, and boast!

On the issue of THE CROSS and Mormons too ..

MORMON’S FALSE  OPPOSITION TO THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST AND WHAT IT STANDS FOR

May it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (Galations 6:14)

To the Christian the cross represents salvation and eternal life, because it was there on the cross that Christ atoned for our sins. It reminds us of the awful cost of our redemption, and of how much we owe the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our hero, our Saviour and our life.

However, Mormon women do not wear a crucifix as jewellery. And the LDS will not permit a cross to be displayed anywhere on their premises. Strangely, seeing they insist that they are Christians, they don’t display any of the other symbols of Christianity anywhere on their premises either. Instead, the inside of their temple is decorated with Masonic/pagan symbols, and the external masonry with pagan, occultic and satanic symbols. (As a matter of interest, the cross is never featured alongside that type of symbolism because they oppose one another.)

Because of the  unbiblical LDS teachings Mormons are taught that they have to earn the right to the forgiveness of their own personal sins through obedience to LDS laws and ordinances, good works and a virtuous life. So they can never be sure whether or not they will eventually make the grade. And this diminishes the work of Christ in their eyes. Consequently, they could never ever be beholden to Christ in the way that Christians are. Nor could they ever enjoy the same saving relationship with Christ as do Christians.

Almost None of the LDS doctrines are biblical. Nor do they bear any resemblance to Christianity. In fact their teaching on the atonement opposes the foundational doctrine of Christian salvation, as preached by the apostles in the primitive church. For this reason Mormons cannot even begin to imagine the joy, freedom from guilt, peace of mind and overwhelming gratitude that accompanies the Christian’s assurance that Christ Himself earned the forgiveness of “my sins” when He bore my penalty in my place, that day on the cross at Calvary. Nor do they realize the utter devotion to Christ that is part and parcel of the Christian life. To the Christian the cross represents salvation from sin. It reminds us of what Christ achieved on our behalf, as well as of the tremendous cost to Himself.

THE REASON FOR THE CROSS

Contrary to what the LDS maintains, the cross wasn’t merely a weapon that was used to execute Christ. It was on the cross at Calvary that Christ defeated Satan, sin, death and hell, and earned our salvation (c/f John 12:31-33). So in the mind of a Christian, the cross is symbolic of all these things.

Furthermore, Christ wasn’t merely “killed,” as the LDS puts it. He went to the cross of His own free will and voluntarily laid down his life for the specific purpose of earning our salvation from the consequences of sin. He could have turned from the cross at any time. But instead He deliberately set His face steadfastly towards Jerusalem, knowing full well what awaited Him there (Luke 9:52). Then He gave His life on that cross, in our place, as our substitute, to pay the penalty for our sins, as was fore-ordained and so graphically illustrated in the “pictures” provided by the Old Covenant sacrificial system.

Throughout the Old Testament God has used the picture language of rituals to explain hard-to-understand concepts that were to become part and parcel of the coming New Covenant of Grace. And salvation from sin through a substitutionary sacrifice was one of these important concepts. You will find a more in-depth explanation of this fascinating topic in the article, “Baptism, Salvation and the Use of Biblical Symbolism,” a lead to which is provided for your convenience, at the bottom of this page.)

Christ’s whole purpose in coming to earth had been to sacrifice His life on that cross at Calvary, so that we could be set free from the stranglehold of sin. And moreover it was the will of God, as foretold by His prophets in the Old Testament.

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man take it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again ….. (John 10:17-18, KJV) (Italics inserted by writer.)

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:43, KJV)

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. ….. (Isaiah 53:5-6, KJV)

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. (Acts 8:30-35, KJV)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3, KJV)

And you, being [spiritually] dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (Colossians 2:13-14, KJV) (The writer’s italics.)

… Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (1 Peter 2:24, KJV)

One can’t help but wonder what the LDS  motivation is in teaching these false doctrines, as they will not be found anywhere in the pages of the Bible, no matter how long or hard you search. On the contrary, the above scriptures very clearly tells us that Christ atoned for our sins on the cross at Calvary.

Christ was fully aware that His suffering and death on the cross was the terrible price He would have to pay to cancel our debt of sin. But He voluntarily and selflessly chose to go through with it, for the likes of us:

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die. (John 12: 31-33, KJV).

(Christ said:) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:14-15, KJV)

From that time forth began Jesus to shrew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. (Matthew 16:21, KJV)

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he steadfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem (Luke 9:51, KJV)

THE CHRISTIAN’S ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE CROSS

The church I attend has a large cross behind the pulpit, with a crown of thorns resting on it. Hanging down next to it is a banner that reads, “He died for me”. This is very effective in stimulating sincere and fervent worship. And every time I enter the church, I am deeply humbled at the sight of that cross. It reminds me that the best, the bravest and most selfless Person ever, suffered and died for me, in my place, because of my sins. And my heart fills with gratitude. But that is just why the cross is there. It is to remind us of who we are, who Christ is, what He did for us, and how much we owe Him.

Mayer Pearlman had this to say concerning the Christian’s attitude towards the cross of Christ: “The cross is the dynamo which generates in the human heart that response which constitutes the Christian life. ‘I’ll live for Him who died for me,’ states the dynamic of the cross. The Christian life is the soul’s reaction to the love of Christ. The cross of Christ inspires true repentance …..” (Knowing the Doctrines of the Bible, Part Two)

CHRIST’S SHED BLOOD COVERS THE SINS OF ALL WHO TRUST IN HIM

The LDS ignores what the Bible so clearly teaches, and insists that Christ’s atonement only covers the penalty for Adam’s sin and guarantees universal resurrection, thereby opening the way for us to earn the right to forgiveness of our own personal sins. Here are some scriptures that prove without a shadow of a doubt that Christ was crucified to pay the full price of all the sins of those who trust in Him for salvation:

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou salt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21, KJV)

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matthew. 26:28, KJV)

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3, KJV)

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10, KJV)

… Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood (Revelation 1:5, KJV)

We see from the above that Christ’s death on the cross was vicarious, in that He died in our place, to pay the price of our sins. And that’s why the cross was always central to the gospel message preached by the primitive church:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:23-24, KJV)

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18, KJV)

Christians wear a cross as a testimony to their allegiance to Christ and as a symbol of their faith in His atonement for their sin through His sacrificial, substitutionary sacrifice on their behalf on the cross. And churches that follow the teachings of the Bible always prominently display a large cross at their place of worship, as a constant reminder to the congregation of who they once were (condemned sinners) and of what Christ has done for them (set them free from the guilt and the penalty of their sins). It also effectively reminds us of the terrible price He paid for our forgiveness.

THE LDS GOSPEL IS NOT
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
THE GOSPEL THAT CHRIST PROCLAIMED

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Galations 3:21-25, KJV)

THE NEW COVENANT GOSPEL
In His wisdom and mercy God provided a way of salvation under a New Covenant of grace, that allowed for the fallenness of man. In, by and through Christ’s substitutionary atonement on the cross, He dealt with fallen man’s sin problem, and reconciled us to Himself.

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19, KJV)

Although He had no sin, Christ paid the consequences for our sins, in our place, on the cross at Calvary. However, just as the Old Covenant sinner had to identify himself with the substitutionary sacrifice that was to die in his place to cover his sin, so we too need to identify ourselves with Christ by putting our faith in Him. And the moment we do that He becomes our our substitute sin bearer/saviour, and we are counted as being “in Him.”

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, KJV)
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, (Ephesians 1:7-8, NASB)

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:13-14, KJV). (Italics inserted by writer.)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9, KJV)

The gospel (good news) of the primitive Church of Jesus Christ was that Christ had ratified a New Covenant of grace for the forgiveness of sins by His shed blood on the cross at Calvary, where He had defeated sin, Satan, death and hell on our behalf.
This was the most amazing, liberating news. All the Old Covenant had ever done was to prove that fallen man could not live up to God’s standards of righteousness. But now the promised Jewish Messiah had come down to earth and had vicariously died to save us both from the consequences of our sins and from the power that sin has over us. The burden of guilt and the resulting fear of death and judgment was to be no more!

After His resurrection Christ appeared to His disciples, instructing them to be witnesses of His death on the cross, and of His resurrection three days later. He also commanded them to proclaim in His name, repentance and the forgiveness of sins:

Then He opened their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures, and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day. And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things. (Luke 24:45-48, KJV). (Italics inserted by writer.)

And then just before His ascension, He confirmed this instruction:

“Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, KJV)

Notice that the gospel was to be all about Him and how He had earned the forgiveness of our sins. They were to be witnesses as to who Christ was and what He had done for and on behalf of fallen mankind through his death and resurrection. This is why the gospel of Christ’s church was, and still is, always centred on Christ and the cross. As Paul said:

We preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. (1 Corinthians 1:23-24, KJV)

However, Satan doesn’t give up that easily. Although he knew that he had been defeated and was destined for judgment and hell, he wants to thwart God’s plan to redeem fallen man, and thereby take as many of us with him as he possibly can. With this aim in mind he sends out his messengers to proclaim counterfeit gospels with counterfeit saviours and a counterfeit salvation. Paul warned the church at Galatia concerning this danger:

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. (Galations 1:8-9, KJV)

THE MORMON GOSPEL
As mentioned, the gospel preached by the apostles in the primitive church was centred on Christ, the New Covenant of grace that He had ratified, and the forgiveness of sins that He had earned on our behalf on the cross. In contrast to this, the LDS has banned the symbol of the cross on their premises and their gospel is centred on Joseph Smith, their church and their supposed authority. But this was precisely the sort of thing that Paul was warning us about. The Mormon gospel bears no resemblance to the gospel that Christ instructed the apostles to preach. It is “another gospel.”

Although the LDS calls their gospel, “the gospel of Jesus Christ,” it is in reality the gospel of Joseph Smith. The “good news” that their missionaries proclaim from door to door is that God allowed the church that Christ had died for, to go into total apostasy, and that He also permitted the Bible, the standard of truth that He’d given us for our spiritual guidance and protection, to become corrupted and unreliable. They then go on to claim that their prophet, Joseph Smith, has restored the “true” church in these latter days, and that salvation can now be attained only through themselves.

Christ is sidelined, his atonement is deprecated and Joseph Smith and his LDS church are given all the glory.

One of the things Mormons are taught is that Christ’s atonement only covers universal resurrection. So the sad fact is that although the Bible clearly tells us that Christ died for the sins of those who identify themselves with Him by faith, Mormons don’t go that route. Instead they have opted to follow the way of salvation proclaimed by Joseph Smith, i.e. that they have to earn the right to forgiveness of their sins through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the LDS organization, plus virtuous living. (See the articles on this site entitled “Mormon Salvation and its Deceptiveness.” and “Mormon Salvation Exposed to the Light of the Bible.”)

Considering that under the Old Covenant nobody was ever able to satisfy God’s demands for righteousness in this way, the Mormon gospel places its followers in a precarious position. Not only that, they have trampled underfoot the precious blood of Christ that He so selflessly shed to earn, once and for all, the forgiveness of all our sins:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:7, KJV)

If you wish to gain a deeper understanding of this subject, click on the following links:

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (Romans 5:9, KJV)

Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (Revelation 1:5, KJV)

Heralding the Messiah’s imminent coming, John the Baptist exhorted the people, ” Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2, KJV).

During His lifetime Christ also proclaimed the gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven, which He sometimes referred to as the Kingdom of God. We know that these two expressions mean the same thing because sometimes they are used interchangeably, such as in Matthew 19:23-24.

Christ’s gospel (good news) was that Satan’s reign on earth was all but over because He had come down from heaven not only to atone for our sins but also to defeat Satan, God’s enemy and ours too; thereby breaking his hold on mankind and restoring the rule of God, or the Kingdom of God, on earth.

When we read the book of Acts, we notice that the disciples explained the gospel of Christ to the Jews by showing them via the scriptures, how the Old Covenant had been fulfilled in Christ. And so in order to understand the gospel properly, we will need to take a very quick look at both the Old and the New Covenants.

THE OLD COVENANT

Under the Old Covenant, when the Israelites had sinned, God didn’t tell them that they would have to earn the right to forgiveness (as does the LDS church). He knew fallen man was incapable of ever doing such a thing. So instead, He instituted the substitutionary sacrifice. The sinner had to take an unblemished animal to the altar and place his hand upon its head to indicate that it would represent him, and would die in his place, to cover his sin (Leviticus 1:4, 4:29,33). This was a picture of the coming, promised Jewish Messiah who would sacrifice His life to pay the full penalty for the sins of those who had indicated by faith, that He was their substitute sin bearer.

In his epistle to the church at Galatia, Paul explains that the Old Covenant was used by God to convince fallen man that he is, of himself, incapable of living according to God’s standards of righteousness. The constant plume of smoke arising from the sacrificial altar bore witness of this fact. Although they were God’s chosen people, who had enjoyed His protection and were in possession of His Law, and had every intention of fulfilling it; they nevertheless found themselves continuously slipping up in word, thought and deed. God’s Laws and Ordinances didn’t have the power to save anyone. All they did was reveal the holiness of God on the one hand, and the innate sinfulness of fallen man on the other.

The LDS Gospel is Not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lies by the liberal news media

Note this terminator has helped a lot of people to get a better job by firing them But i still can understand some people wrongfully now opposing it.

When I was  busy working as a professional engineer  I personally  had no time for or a real concept of how bad the real world is with it’s much too many liars, thugs, bullies, abusers, distorters, racists , thieves, now too.. and someone how next I could not help but encountered many of them, but by I had by now learned how to best deal with them.  It is a two fold approach, first the Public exposure, the pen is mightier than the sword, and a good name is worth more than any silver and gold. But next also there is rightful demand, a need  for their  termination of emeploybnment, their real prosecution of the guilty, bad persons.  Both of these approaches personally so works best, for everyone’s’ betterment. Ideally and rightfully I  do not hesitate to recommend any crook, bad minister, bad pastor, bad news reporter as well to be fired , terminated from his our her  job.  Sadly there are many people in this world who are hatred mongers, they have a false persistent agendas against some others, and they for many wrong reasons now wrongfully pursue much of their time in these matters now too foolishly and unwisely. Too often they the bad people firstly proclaim themselves as angels of lights, good Samaritans try to help others, but rather it too often seems they are merely trying to gain an advantage over others, and to promote themselves in some powerful, key job, economic, superior positions under these false agendas, disguise’s in all kinds of social groups now too, the religious, political, cultural, governmental. Now I really hate these types of snakes and I rightfully do not hesitate to expose them once I encounter them.

Now we all know that in north America we all do really have freedom of religion, freedom of choice, freedom of speech, the right to be hard now as well.. Some people are now falsely abusing these right to promote a false war against a particular Christian group, the Pentecostal ones, or even the Catholic ones, etc. When I see this kind of unacceptable personal behavior I too do not accept it but do loudly object to it to all and do ask these hate mongrels be immediately fired, put in jail as well. No matter who they are now too.

“Sarah Palin losing her sway over Christian voters
http://communities.canada.com/vancouversun/blogs/thesearch/default.aspx

The Sarah Palin effect, which brought evangelicals and other Christians rushing on to the Republican wagon when her nomination was announced, is now fading. In some cases fast.

A poll by the respected Pew Forum has found that some white evangelicals are losing their excitement about the political coupling of John McCain and Palin, who has deep Pentecostal roots in Alaska. White evangelicals, the crucial group that got George W. Bush into the White House in the past two elections, are beginning to edge away from the Republicans. Their support has dropped from 74 to 67 per cent in the past week or so.
Meanwhile, pollsters are beginning to predict that mainline Protestants, who tend to be more liberal than evangelicals, are moving firmly to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. The Democrat contender is now attracting 48 per cent of mainline Christians’ votes. As well, non-Hispanic Catholics have also switched and are now leaning more to Obama-Biden than McCain-Palin.

Thanks for your input Todd, this is the second time you posted back to me on my blog, unusual for a news reporter to comment on my blog too.https://anyonecare.wordpress.com/2008/08/30/sarah-palin-already-has-energized-conservative-religious-leaders/#comment-1746#comment-1746

>>A poll by the respected Pew Forum has found that some white evangelicals are losing their excitement about the political coupling of John McCain and Palin

My personal straight forward, honest, personal summation, experiences of Politics, dealing with you, the Vancouver Sun as well, and pollsters… they are statistically just liars, biased, people with hidden agendas.. and I told you that now in writing too many times too.. I rightfully have no respect for what you write still about Christians, evangelicals and so do many others now too.

what about the polls that show 30 percent of white people will also not vote for a black persons? racisms exists in the churches and police stations now too.

And my own experiences with Canadian liberal news media, liberals, liberal politicians are so blind they had undeniably now underestimated the starch of the all of evangelical churches, who had themselves formed the Reform, Alliance, and the new Conservative party, and next had wiped out both the old Conservatives under Brian Mulroney, and the Liberals under Jean Chrétien and Paul Martin.. I saw it coming , wrote about it 2 decades ago, but you did don’t see it coming. Do get an honest job now..

But the fact that Sarah Palin is getting now so much free publicity attention even from the liberals, democrats it all next simply means when I see the devil breathing on her back, she must be doing something really really good

Any possible Christian support of Obama is another liberal, democratic, news media false spins.. just like the devil often dos the same thing.. I read many of their emotional, gushy, lying, slanderous , sewage posts, opinions, but they are spins, lies and not facts and the US news media has lost loads of credibity, CNN especially the big liars, in their slanted election presentations, and that fact is not unnoticed.. but that was the same complaint thing they had often said about the Canadian News media, CBC, under the liberals who lost next.. wow!

And basically too no true, real practicing Christian would support the clearly anti Christ Obama.. who does supports abortions, gay marriages, alcohol as well..

My site statistics undeniably do show Sarah Palin is the most read topic in the last few months of over 100 different subjects, topics on my 6 related blogs, and that support I encounter is the tip of the iceberg only.. 80 percent of the posts read are about her.

Even the Canadian PM Stephen Harper, and the federal election. Bilden, McCain, Obama do not get 10 percent of her attention too.. the undeniably crooked Christian Missionary alliance church got just as much attention now, 10 percent  as they all did as well.. note this a new runner up in reading POPULARITY is the bad RCMP, bad Traffic cops of Alberta next.

As I also wrote often to thousands, Canadian politicians and news editors too now.. The truth about the ungodly Pentecostals bashings, wars against the Pentecostals on the net, even by the Vancouver Sun now too, or anyone else… is that I also still do not have to accept it or put up with it still too,  it is  an unacceptable perversity, human rights abuse, immoral. And it better stop otherwise I too will have to write to a lot more people about it too.. very much more..

many jump to conclusions, make opinions, before hearing all of the facts

How many times in the last decade as we seem to know too often has the news media  supported a  specific candidate who next had clearly turned out to be a really bad choice? and why was that?

Are they the news media, news reporters now still really the same even now like many of us, basically,  as well? Blind, they do not have all the facts before them honestly presented and viewed now too?

How many political leaders themselves now were able to successfully predict, or to see the election’s political outcome too next? and where even most of them too   wrong in their own predictions? Most of then too it seems.. and why was that? Biassed, or ignorant of reality? So how can even they lead all of others next still? Pretenders or Imposters?

Too many of us still wrongfully jump to conclusions, make biased, unsound opinions, note this even the news reporters and news media now included,  all made before we now have even heard all of the facts, and this is till really unacceptable, very, very dangerous too.. such an approach it can be really harmful.

THE DAY BEFORE THE RECENT CANADIAN ELECTIONS I SPOKE TO MANY VOTERS, WHO ON THEIR OWN LET ME KNOW HOW THEY HAD CERTAINLY THOUGH THE FEDERAL LECTIONS WOULD COME OUT.. AND WHY THEY HAD VOTED FOR THEIR CANDIDATE OF CHOICE. NONE OF THE CHOICES I HEARD WERE SENSIBLE, RATIONAL EVEN.. nor any of their own political  predictions.. many persons had told me their candidates were going to win, but they lost instead.. In reality even few people had tried to predict next a minority government, but I had said before that was what it next was going to be. And why now too? Even in writing. For I take a balanced view, and I look at the realistic facts.

Here related is something I have known long time before, most people are like dumb sheep, they are too easily, too often  swayed by bad politicians lies. And too many of us we seem to all agree that most politicians are the same nearly these days, they are all liars who tell us what we want to hear but do not keep their promises generally next anyway now.

Now these days I am  often hearing many persons give their  reasons as to why they personally do want Obama to win, these still are just all personal feelings, for generally they have nothing to do with reality, or real facts.

Some people say Obama is a better leader, a better choice, a better President over John McCain but this all is an unproven fact still. This is just mere personal speculation and not a real fact you can even take to the bank. For in reality how well does anyone  still know the reality about  Obama? Can they now even afford taking  the risk?

and how much of the basic facts about him now is even true?

In reality Genuine Born Again, Evangelical, Christians are total abstainers from smoking, drugs, alcohol, cheating, lying, stealing, tax evasions, pornography, or rather all personal vices, Impairments, gay sex now too.

Clearly ** The Bible teaches against drinking alcoholic beverages.

The liars and the demons  of course will say other wise.

One thing is still very clear the too often pretentious news media and  the too often pretentious  politicians are not actively doing their jobs in helping people to be informed, having the proper facts to be able to make the proper decisions, take the proper actions, so do thank God for the existence of the internet, no matter how imperfect now it itself is as well.. it offers now at least some valid truths to the discerning readers.

Canada – Harper failed again in an attempt to win majority government

A Conservative loser is still a big loser

Reality today is that  besides cheap words, more likely broken promises, useless   Canada’s  pretentious Ostrich Conservative Finance Minister  Flaherty still presently offers no viable, real, effective solutions to help the thousands already laid off, and Canada’s present economic meltdown, the people also who will lose their homes due to foreclosures too.

More minority government.  Conservatives win about 37 percent of the votes, a one percent gain only  since 2006. Liberals win 26 percent, down 4 percent. Liberals have worst showing in 20 years., BQ win 10 percent-  no change-, and  NDP win 18 percent of the votes , another 1 percent gain . But the NDP made significant gains mostly in Ontario. Lowest voter turnout in history, for $290-million federal election

Majority Is Seen as Unlikely for Canada’s Conservatives   October 14, 2008  OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s gamble that forcing Canada into its third election in four years would give him firm control over Parliament seemed to be falling short on Tuesday.  Polls leading into the vote had indicated that his Conservatives would return to power, but that they would again find themselves relying on support from the opposition to get legislation passed.  And early returns from Atlantic Canada, where polls closed first, showed the Conservatives leading or elected in 21 parliamentary districts, to the Liberals’ 28 seats. The Conservatives were shut out in Newfoundland and Labrador.  But the Atlantic provinces were not expected to back Mr. Harper’s party, and Danny Williams, the Conservative who is prime minister of Newfoundland, had vigorously campaigned against the federal wing of his party because of a dispute over oil and gas rights. After taking power in 2006, Mr. Harper set a fixed election date, an idea introduced with fanfare but abandoned last month when he called this election.  It appeared that he was relying on the strong economy, as well as disarray in the opposition Liberal Party, to secure the parliamentary majority he was denied in the last election, in January 2006.  Mr. Harper was blindsided, however, by the turmoil that has swept international financial markets. Canada’s banks have avoided the troubles experienced of late in the United States and Britain, but the Toronto Stock Exchange has gyrated with its counterparts elsewhere. Mr. Harper made an undesirable situation worse for his party by projecting a nonchalant attitude.  During a debate, he found himself on the defensive after saying, “What Canadians are worried about right now is not the job situation, not losing their home like in the U.S.” Their concerns, he added, were limited to their investments. Later, in a television interview, he suggested that the world’s economic problems might not be all bad. “I think there are probably some gains to be made in the stock market,” he said. Canadians do not vote directly for a political party or the prime minister, but elect a local member of the House of Commons, the lower house of Parliament. For Mr. Harper to achieve a majority in Parliament, it was essential for him to improve his party’s standing in Ontario and Quebec, which control 181 of the 308 seats.  The current economic uncertainty has been a particular concern in parts of Ontario where industries rely heavily on exports to the United States. A rise in the value of the Canadian dollar over the past two years made many of those factories much less competitive. The economic slowdown in the United States has aggravated the problem. Peter Donolo, a former official in a Liberal government who now is an executive of the Strategic Counsel, a polling firm, said the perception of Mr. Harper in Quebec reversed during the campaign, from a 60 percent approval rating to a 60 percent disapproval rating. “The support just evaporated,” Mr. Donolo said. “He chased away Quebec votes kind of offhandedly.” French-speaking Quebecers reacted poorly to suggestions by Mr. Harper that artists were members of the elite who spent too much time at government-financed galas.  A proposal to stiffen penalties for young people who commit crimes also found little following in the province.   The New Democratic Party, supported by organized labor and led by Jack Layton, steadily rose in most polls during the campaign.  http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/15/world/americas/15canada.html?ref=world

MONTREAL — Liberal Leader Stephane Dion found himself an unlikely ally Friday as he dealt with the aftermath of a botched English-language interview in Halifax — Bloc Quebecois Leader Gilles Duceppe. Duceppe came to Dion’s defence after the Conservatives manhandled the Liberal leader over the garbled interview and declared him unfit to lead the country. Dion tripped up during the interview with CTV Atlantic on Thursday and excerpts of his linguistic fumbles were later broadcast despite assurances made to the Liberals the flubs would not be aired. The Conservatives wasted no time lambasting Dion, with Leader Stephen Harper linking Dion’s language woes to his ability to lead. But Duceppe called Harper’s comments a “low blow” during a radio interview in Montreal. The Bloc leader says Harper’s comment only illustrates the “double standard” that exists in Canadian politics that requires French-speaking politicians to be fluently bilingual while English-speaking politicians can get away with mangling French. “I think it’s just unacceptable to criticize Mr. Dion’s English,” Duceppe said.  “I think when we compare Mr. Dion’s English with the French of other English leaders or ministers . . . I think he’s getting better.” http://www.edmontonsun.com/canadavotes/news/2008/10/10/7047636.html

And all persons are merely dreaming that the new Parliament will next usher in an era of co-operation between both the governing party and its opponents as long as Stephen Harper is around. That is not his style for he clearly and wrongfully loves to be a bully, to body check others.  And Harper now will clearly have to endure the successes and failures of minority government again by his own poor contributions to it .

Conservatives humbled, they still would still need opposition party support to govern. Canada’s third minority government in four years. Harper’s Conservatives defeated a Liberal minority government in the January 2006 election.  The Bloc Quebecois won about two-thirds of the Quebec province’s 75 seats on Tuesday as it repeated its 2006 success and kept its stranglehold on the province.  Canadian International Trade Minister Michael Fortier lost his bid to win a seat in Parliament in Tuesday’s election, initial projections showed. As expected, the Liberal’s star candidate, 36-year-old Justin Trudeau, son of the late prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, was elected in his riding of Papineau, giving the party a boost to its sagging fortunes in Quebec. Disgraced former foreign minister, Maxime Bernier was easily re-elected in the Beauce with 63 per cent of the vote, despite being embroiled in the Julie Couillard affair.   Fortier, a member of the unelected Senate upper chamber, was trailing badly behind a candidate from the separatist Bloc Quebecois in the French-speaking province of Quebec. Whether he makes it back into government is now in considerable doubt.  Voters shut out the Conservatives from two of Canada’s major cities for a second consecutive election last night, when the Tories failed to secure a single seat in either Toronto or Montreal.. The Liberals have elected or are leading in 21 Toronto ridings, and the NDP in two, while the Conservative party has been shut out of Canada’s largest city yet again. NDP got one seat in Montreal and the Liberals got 15. Almost all of the past Conservative Cabinet Ministers were re-elected. New Democrats across Canada had heightened expectations for the elections on Monday night that were dashed when the ballots were finally counted. Liberal Bob Rae   elected twice in the same year. Rae took the riding in a byelection on March 17 and was declared the winner tonight after about a fifth of the polls were counted. Michael Ignatieff also took his riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore with about 47 per cent of the vote, with 50 of 261 polls reporting.  Rae and Ignatieff are considered front-runners if Stephane Dion’s leadership is challenged. Political observers have said Dion could face some pressure to resign if the Liberals fail to win about 90 seats, The Liberals are expected  to take about 76 seats.  Former Liberal leadership candidate Martha Hall Findlay took her seat in Willowdale and Gerard Kennedy took Parkdale-High Park from the NDP. Nova Scotia has elected its first Independent MP since 1874. Federal Liberals all but faded from Manitoba’s political landscapeTuesday, clinging to one seat following a fierce fight with the Conservatives and the NDP. Saskatchewan was awash in Tory blue Tuesday night with voters in the province strongly backing their incumbent Conservative MPs. Tories   make almost a clean sweep of all 14 ridings in southern Alberta – Big deal! They make enough noise about it still too.The NDP challenger Linda Duncan  in Edmonton-Strathcona bumped off four-time incumbent Tory Rahim Jaffer, preventing a Conservative sweep of Alberta. The Tories now hold 22 of 36 B.C. seats, up five from the last election.   They took ridings from both the New Democrats and Liberals but boosted their share mostly at Liberal expense. The Liberals went from seven to five seats but managed to hang on to three out of four core ridings. The New Democrats won in nine ridings, down one from their result in the 2006 election.   In the 2006 election, the Liberals sent 20 MPs to Ottawa from Atlantic Canada, while the Conservatives won nine seats and the NDP three. At press time the Liberals were elected or leading in 16 seats, the Conservatives had a small boost to 11 seats, the NDP had four and Bill Casey chalked one up in the Independent column.Voters in Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley are sending ex Conservative Bill Casey back to Ottawa for a fifth consecutive term.  The longtime MP made headlines last June when he voted against his party on a budget bill, saying it denied Nova Scotia benefits promised in an offshore deal. He was promptly kicked out of the Conservative caucus. Gerry Ritz, the federal agriculture minister who came under fire for cracking jokes about listeriosis, has reclaimed his seat in Saskatchewan. Canadians have elected a record number of women  68 to the House of Commons.

“It is historical fact, reinforced again this week, that Quebeckers have always voted for a party led by a Quebecker when confronted with a choice between such a party and one led by someone from outside the province… It is always possible that this pattern of not preferring one of their own could be broken, but it hasn’t been for 141 years….  It is also an  historical fact, reinforced again this week, that the rest of Canada  have always voted for a party led by a English speaking person when confronted with a choice between such a party and one led by someone from outside the province who cannot speak English properly, something the dumb Liberal party falsely had overlooked…  And after the Tories’ poor showing in the province in Tuesday’s election, many Quebec Conservatives believe Mr. Harper needs the Premier more than Mr. Charest – who is running high in the polls before a possible spring election – needs him.  The criticism has allowed Mr. Charest to position himself as a defender of Quebec’s interests who doesn’t owe anything to the regime in Ottawa.” http://www.theglobeandmail.com/

Still  the Quebec province could not remain silent on key planks of the Conservative election platform, such as life sentences for young offenders and cuts to arts programs.

The Quebec vote strongly suggests Harper still doesn’t have an innate feel for the aspirations of that province or he really does not care to have one.  “The Bloc got another break when Stephen Harper made a statement pushing for teens who commit serious crimes to serve jail sentences in adult prisons. Mr. Duceppe slammed the Prime Minister for delivering “fresh meat” to prison pedophiles and sending young criminals to “the university of crime.”” http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/election-2008/story.html?id=882332

Now really How can a now Alberta, redneck that was personally now even raised in Montreal, Quebec,  now get it so wrong, did he accidently offend the people of Quebec or did he do so knowingly because he not care if it did cause he was trying to please so hard his hypocritical, Conservative rednecks of Alberta, who do emphasize now wrongfully now the letter of   the law over the  spirit of the law.. for now when there is an increase of  problem children, juvenile diligent  it is the parents firstly who have to take the majority of the blame and not the children. Surely the self professing Christian evangelical, Alliance church,  Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper knows this from his own personal Bible readings? (Prov  22:6 KJV)  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Pentecostals

A Balanced Approach to Pentecostalism by Andy Terry http://www.raptureready.com/

Pentecostals have hoed a row that’s been littered with alienation, misunderstanding, excess, heresy, scandal, self-inflicted wounds and bad press. Yet somehow, that old ship that set sail from the mountains of Carolina/Tennessee, picking up passengers at Azusa Street still sails on. Today, Pentecostals may be found on all of the populated continents of the earth and given time, will likely take root in Antarctica. How do those rugged people do it?

Pure Pentecostalism, I believe, exists within the community of orthodoxy ( Non-Trinitarians not withstanding) but using a phrase like “pure Pentecostalism” can be likened to holding onto a fist-full of wind. Pentecostal congregations are a diverse lot, even within their own Denomination. Churches within the Assemblies of God are a prime example of this (Due to their congregational autonomy). Where some are solidly biblical in both theology and approach, others turn on a dime to chase every, and any doctrinal tumbleweed that blows through town.To synthesize this balanced approach, we will have to define first, our terms in the strictest sense, and hold their outworking to the plumb line of Scripture. This is perhaps one of the most beautiful benefits of scripture; not only does it provide a clear demarcation between truth and error, it provides a level surface on which to build. If the house is built on the solid, immobile foundation of the word, it will stand up to time and tide. In other words, we won’t have to continually revisit and retool to suit the whims of successive generations. My intent is to supply more than just a list of “grievances”. Solutions and suggestions are provided along with a roadmap on reaching those solutions.“What is a Pentecostal?” Simply stated, a Pentecostal is one who believes that the Holy Spirit of God continues to move as He did in the Apostolic Church. The Pentecostal looks to the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to live a life that’s God-pleasing and purpose fulfilling. Within the Pentecostal zeitgeist, the gifts received on that 50th day following Christ’s resurrection remain with the Body of Christ until He returns for His bride. This again, is a “nutshell” definition. The degree of separation between pentecostals and nonpentecostals is much narrower than both persuasions would realize, boiling down to a debate over just which gifts of the Spirit have ceased to operate, and how the Spirit fills and empowers the Follower of Jesus. Within the Pentecostal view however, there are some very serious watershed division that literally determine the difference between orthodoxy and heterodoxy. “Oneness Pentecostalism” is a dire departure from historic Christian orthodoxy in its refutation of the tri-unity of the Godhead. This school shouldn’t be included under the pale of orthodoxy, regardless of whatever PR spin they apply to their public image. Their sheer numbers, combined with their simpaticos on the Trinity Broadcasting Network would give the impression that their doctrinal errors have been mitigated and that they’ve been given full acceptance. Unfortunately for historic Pentecostalism, this paints an inaccurate image, one that portrays pentecostals as a group that plays fast and loose with theology and doctrine.“ Problematic Pentecostalism.” The previous statement ( fast and loose) hits home far too often, and far too close for comfort. Generally speaking, pentecostals have often been hoisted on their own petards over issues that would have been avoided if the saint had simply exercised Christian discernment. I wish to stress that I’m speaking in generalities, addressing Pentecostalism as a whole. The substitution of experience for sound doctrine is perhaps the greatest problem that faces today’s Pentecostal churches. Sound biblical doctrine is treated at best as a “necessary evil”, or its simply ignored out of hand. This problem is exacerbated by two factors, inadequate theological/doctrinal depth within members of the Pentecostal clergy/laity, and a prevailing disdain for serious study. These factors create a self-perpetuating spiral of spiritual ignorance that opens the door for grave spiritual error and apostasy. The results of this doctrinal shallowness ranges from the sublime to the ridiculous but since we (believers in Christ Jesus) are all de facto spokesmen for the historic faith and the Kingdom of God, there’s nothing funny about the situation.

This doctrinal shallowness allows folk to accept the toxic teaching propagated by the likes of Hinn, Hickey and Copeland without an iota of critical examination. A legion of pentecostals sit like bobble-head dolls, nodding with approval any time these contemporary Gnostics open their mouths, and their teaching then propagates like a computer virus as well-meaning Sunday school teachers and pastors ape the message to waiting ears. Shallowness also allows what I’ve defined as 1“Mountain folk religion” to wend its way into the Pentecostal zeitgeist, destroying any and all credibility as apologists.

Consider the results of doctrinal shallowness carried to its ultimate end. Oneness Pentecostalism essentially sprung from a prophecy delivered at a camp meeting early in the last century. Had there been enough “Bereans” in attendance that prophecy would have been weighed in the balance of scripture and it would have been judged as a false prophecy and the error wouldn’t have seen the light of day. Then there’s the case of Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple. His pronouncements from the pulpit were accepted out of hand and we saw with horrible clarity, the results on our TV’s.

“Over the Top Arminianism.” I’m not picking a Calvinist fight with my Arminian brothers! My personal theology is a synthesis formed between the poles of these two theological worldviews and frankly, I’ve found problematic issues in both as they’re taken to their extremes. There seems to be a phobia among pentecostals that has many believing that they’re no more than a heartbeat away from loosing their salvation and being dispatched onto the HOV lane to perdition. I’ve witnessed both cases of folk “getting saved” every Sunday, and individuals receiving multiple baptisms over a two-year period. Personally, I see this as a process that cheapens both the gift of salvation and the sacrament of Baptism. In every case where I took the time to pray with the penitent, that individual simply needed to confess a sin before God and accept the grace of His forgiveness.

This mindset prevents believers from venturing a few steps away from the altar of repentance and duct tapes them into a spiritual bassinet. Have you ever wondered just how we can have folk in our churches who’ve been saved for decades yet remain “Babes in Christ”? It’s because they’re trapped in this mindset and until they embrace the liberty of the believer, they’ll not mature beyond the sinner’s prayer.

“ Towards Biblically-Balanced Pentecostalism.” There’s no “hidden revelation” or inside trick to curing these aliments that seek to undermine the Pentecostal worldview. My thesis is based on no other revelation than the revealed canon of Scripture. The prescription is a matter of public record and may be found within the pages of God’s word. This isn’t esoteric inside information that’s only available to the super saint; any believer can read, absorb and model this behavior.

Luke spoke of the Bereans in Acts Chapter 17:
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These The Bereans were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so”( Acts 17:10-11 KJV).

Dwight L. Moody coined the phrase, “ The straight stick of scripture”, which conveyed the idea that pronouncements should be held to the standard of the Bible for accuracy and clarity. Our understanding of the world may change from generation to generation. Conventional wisdom ( or pop-ignorance) too has its own unique generational perspective. Holy Scripture is eternal and unchanging. Rooted in eternity past and projecting into eternity future, it is unchanging and unyielding to generational fickleness. What light does Scripture shed on the Pentecostal experience, or Spiritual Gifts? How are these gifts seen in operation, or dispensation? These, and other questions are answered clearly by St. Paul in his epistles, and by St. Peter in his dissertations in Acts.

“The Divine Purpose seen in Perpetuity.” The purpose of Pentecost often seems lost on many who would call themselves Pentecostal. For some, it’s a mere rush; much like a thrill ride. Altar-centered activity becomes their measure for the move of God in a service and the decibels equate to anointing. You can witness this though the comments of these folk.

Consider a worship service where a sense of reverence has permeated the venue. The speaker’s message has resonated deep within the hearts of hearers and a sense of conviction is now welling towards the surface. As the service is closing, many throughout pray earnestly, seeking for the grace and strength to move closer to the heart of God. Many who are outside of the family of the forgiven repent and seek our Lord’s gift of salvation. In the end, hearts are steeled, souls are strengthened and silent tears may even be shed. The gifts of the Spirit were operating with power in this scenario as evidenced by the clear, powerful proclamation of God’s word. Yet because no “message” was delivered and interpreted, no one “ran the aisles” or “fell under the power”, the majority of Thrill Riders would have dismissed that service as being dead! Ironically, the description above could be applied not only to Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost, but to the entire program of apostolic preaching.

For others still, the purpose of Pentecost has been reduced to a mere “fix”. These are the individuals who will cross a continent to see the latest curious manifestation to roll onto the Pentecostal or Charismatic stage. Chances are, you may know folk who’ll trek hours to see a revivalist from Paul Crouch’s TBN lineup in some regional venue. Or, you may know of individuals who’ve made the pilgrimage to Toronto or Brownsville to “see” the purported revivals that took place in those locales.

Both of these take the Pentecostal experience and the move of the Spirit, and reduce them to the level of a day at the amusement park, or a peek at a train wreck! The Holy Spirit of our God hasn’t been given as an entertainment outlet or to be a means of wringing adrenaline from our pancreas. So what then, is the purpose of the Gifts of the Spirit and the objective of the Pentecostal experience?

“Purposes Revealed.” The arrival of the Spirit and the spiritual gifts, along with the objectives of the Pentecostal experience are intrinsically related and essentially can’t be separated. Jesus spoke clearly of the coming Spirit and His mission in John 16. At it’s essential core, the mission of the Holy Spirit is to draw all humanity into a relationship with their creator. Amplified, that mission includes convicting us of our abject spiritual poverty and moral bankruptcy, and convincing us of our absolute need for a savior who offers divine forgiveness and perfect love. Looking further, the Spirit comforts the repentant heart and breathes grace and assurance of Divine forgiveness. Yet in the midst of comfort, that same Spirit may also act as a sharp stick, scolding and admonishing us. I’m thoroughly convinced that when we hear our consciences speaking to our centers, it’s a result of being goaded by the Spirit.

The essential core of the Pentecostal experience is equally clear. Essentially, the objective of this experience is to empower us to be bearers of the Gospel and participants in the Holy Spirit’s mission in the physical universe.

St. Peter is the supreme example of this statement. Consider Peter; brash, impulsive, and rushing in where angels fear to tread. When the iron was on the anvil, he disavowed his associations with the Christ, and cursed those who insinuated the contrary. Yet when this Galilean everyman received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on that day of Pentecost, he was filled with a new-found power that allowed him to become a channel of God’s grace, mercy and peace. Stained-glass hagiography aside, Peter was a “Regular Guy” with the full compliment of normal hopes, dreams, desires and passions. His living legacies may be found seated in any pew of any church the world over. We all know “Peter’s”; those plain-spoken men who work hard, honest days with their calloused hands. We’ve seen these same men manifest the love of Christ to those in their worlds. As was the case of Peter, this empowerment is clearly the result of the Holy Spirit operating in the lives of these men (and women).

“The Promise and the indwelling presence.” The debate continues within orthodox, evangelical circles as to the validity of the contemporary Pentecostal experience. Positions and passions are varied but for a Biblio-historic view, let’s consider the following passages from St. Luke’s Acts of the Apostles.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and all who are far off – for All whom our Lord will call.” Acts 2:38-39 (NIV)

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and Arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them “Did you Receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” Acts 19:1-2 (NIV)

Receiving the “Gift of the Spirit”, according to Luke’s account in Acts would appear to be normative by the account of Luke. In 2:38, Peter makes the clear, declarative statement that all who repent of their sins and call on the name of the Christ for forgiveness will receive that Gift of the Spirit. He further implies that the promise is open-ended, crossing generational, ethnic and chronological barriers.

We find ourselves thrust some 15 years into the future with Acts 19:1-2, where Apollos asks believers in Corinth if they’d received the Holy Spirit. A continued reading reveals that they weren’t familiar with the gift but when they availed themselves, the gift was received. “Cessation or Perpetuity?” This is the point of debate between pentecostals and nonpentecostals; do the “Gift of the Spirit” and the accompanying Spiritual Gifts exist in perpetuity, or did they cease at the closure of the apostolic age? Sincere, orthodox children of God exist on both sides of the debate and I would be both arrogant and wrong to use this question as a litmus test of one’s faith in God. Unfortunately though, there are those in both camps that sling arrows and accusations at the other, keeping phrases like “Apostate”, or “Blasphemer of the Holy Ghost” in their quivers. This behavior only alienates and destroys. “ Questions for the Cessationist.” We need to establish the fact that there are several “Gifts of the Spirit”.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Cor. 12:7-11 (NKJV)

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Rom. 12:6-8 (NKJV)

Often, both sides seem to loose touch of the fact that Tongues, Interpretations and Prophecies aren’t the sole Gifts of the Spirit. A reading of I Corinthians 12:8-10 lists a multitude of gifts: Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Miraculous Powers, Healing, Prophecy, the Discerning of Spirits, Tongues and the Interpretation of Tongues. We see this list amplified and expanded in Romans 12:6-8, where we see: Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Encouragement (or Exhortation), Leadership, Giving, and Mercy. If we’re to say that the “Gifts of the Spirit” ceased at the close of the apostolic age, how do we reconcile the fact that the many or most of these gifts are operating within healthy, Biblio-centric churches? Too, what church could ever expect to be salt and light in their community without the presence of these gifts in their midst?

“The Prescription for Balance.” The Pentecostal experience MUST exist under the bright light of God’s word if it’s to remain biblio-centric and relevant to the move of God! The extrabiblical forays into frothy-mouthed kookiness and fanaticism have not only hijacked the Pentecostal worldview, but have deprived the bulk of the church of a major source of blessing as well. There is a struggle for the soul of the Pentecostal worldview, and its outcome will guide the future of Pentecostal groups and opinions. If biblio-centricity is lost, these groups will be at best, marginalized to the point total insignificance and at worst, become a bulwark of apostate zeitgeist. The outcome rests in the hands of those who’d call themselves Pentecostal. “ Against the plumb line of Scripture.” Scripture sets the precedent and provides the instructions for operation of Gifts of the Spirit and as the case of any doctrine or teaching of Scripture, it’s non-negotiable; we tinker with them at our own spiritual peril.

A clearer understanding is especially needed in the area of what some will refer to as “sign” gifts. A “Message in Tongues” is not a communiqué from God through the Spirit ( or Mary, in the case of some Charismatic Catholics). Simply put, its quite the opposite. According to I Corinthians 14, one who is speaking in tongues is communicating with the Lord, not channeling for Him. Typically, this error occurs when one assumes to have received the Gift of Interpretations. The “message” will typically be one of where the Lord places His “Good Cosmoskeeping Seal” on the worship service, or one that stirs up the congregation. Typically too, this is the result of doctrinal ignorance but sometimes, those wanting to stir up a service that’s perceived as being dead purposefully do it. This is disingenuous and just plain wrong! “Manifestations” are another area that demands examination. By manifestations, I’m speaking of those things that are rife within Pentecostal circles and range from the sublime to the ridiculous. They range from extra-biblical at best, to downright unscriptural at their worst. Pentecostals must stop excusing bizarre, disorderly conduct the like of that seen in Toronto. The God who created the cosmos at the sub-atomic level is a God of propriety and good order, not a Lord of bedlam and chaos. When someone starts shouting in the middle of a speaker’s message, the only thing being manifested is spiritual ignorance or just plain bad manners. Consider for a moment… When the pastor or teacher is delivering a sermon, a bona fide gift of the Spirit is in Operation and saints are being encouraged and equipped. Should we expect an orderly God to randomly manifest his presence in a way that degrades this equipping process? “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way” I Cor. 14:40 (NIV)

Gifts are for service, and must be sought after. Each Spiritual Gift serves to build and strengthen the church, both on a local and universal level. Unfortunately though, a majority who claim to be spirit-filled can’t tell you what gift or gifts they’re received. Oh sure, at one point in their lives, they may have spoken in other tongues at the altar, but that’s the end of their story. If we’re to believe that tongues are the initial evidence of the Spirit’s indwelling ( A point that’s also wide open for debate), we should reasonably expect secondary and subsequent evidence of some other form of gifting. We do no service for the kingdom by simply reveling in an experience we may have had decades ago. Rather, we should seek out the gifts (and avenues) or service that we might be a greater blessing to the world around us.

Conclusions A biblically synthesized approach to the Pentecostal experience will not only place the church on a sound doctrinal footing, it will also invigorate the ministry of God’s Church on Planet Earth!

While the Plymouth Brethren even say they Believe the Bible is the Word of God, they too clearly do have this unholy, desperate and complicated need to reinterpret almost every passage  of the Bible suitable to their own liking. They also seem to like to eradicate the Bible references to judgement, reaping, sins, Hell, damnation, and I often still do wonder why? what are they hiding? fearful of? the real truth?

Philip [the deacon, not the apostle] now

Acts 8:5 Philip [the deacon, not the apostle] went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed the Christ (the Messiah) to them [the people];
Acts 8:6
And great crowds of people with one accord listened to {and} heeded what was said by Philip, as they heard him {and} watched the miracles {and} wonders which he kept performing [from time to time].
Acts 8:7
For foul spirits came out of many who were possessed by them, screaming {and} shouting with a loud voice, and many who were suffering from palsy or were crippled were restored to health.
Acts 8:8 And there was great rejoicing in that city.

Imagine that a Charismatic deacon

Acts 8:25 Now when [the apostles] had borne their testimony and preached the message of the Lord, they went back to Jerusalem, proclaiming the glad tidings (Gospel) to many villages of the Samaritans [on the way].
Acts 8:26 But an angel of the Lord said to Philip, Rise and proceed southward {or} at midday on the road that runs from Jerusalem down to Gaza. This is the desert [route].
Acts 8:27 So he got up and went. And behold, an Ethiopian, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure, had come to Jerusalem to worship.
Acts 8:28 And he was [now] returning, and sitting in his chariot he was reading the book of the prophet Isaiah.
Acts 8:29 Then the [Holy] Spirit said to Philip, Go forward and join yourself to this chariot.
Acts 8:30 Accordingly Philip, running up to him, heard [the man] reading the prophet Isaiah and asked, Do you really understand what you are reading?
Acts 8:31 And he said, How is it possible for me to do so unless someone explains it to me {and} guides me [in the right way]? And he earnestly requested Philip to come up and sit beside him.
Acts 8:32 Now this was the passage of Scripture which he was reading: Like a sheep He was led to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is dumb, so He opens not His mouth.
Acts 8:33 In His humiliation He was taken away by distressing {and} oppressive judgment {and} justice was denied Him [caused to cease]. Who can describe {or} relate in full the wickedness of His contemporaries (generation)? For His life is taken from the earth {and} a bloody death inflicted upon Him.
Acts 8:34 And the eunuch said to Philip, I beg of you, tell me about whom does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?
Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this portion of Scripture he announced to him the glad tidings (Gospel) of Jesus {and} about Him.
Acts 8:36 And as they continued along on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch exclaimed, See, [here is] water! What is to hinder my being baptized?
Acts 8:37 {And Philip said, If you believe with all your heart [if you have a conviction, full of joyful trust, that Jesus is the Messiah and accept Him as the Author of your salvation in the kingdom of God, giving Him your obedience, then] you may. And he replied, I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Acts 8:38 And he ordered that the chariot be stopped; and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and [Philip] baptized him.
Acts 8:39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord [suddenly] caught away Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus, and passing on he preached the good news (Gospel) to all the towns until he reached Caesarea.

what does the word chosen mean in the Bible?

 .

The problem even with the Messianic Jews and most  JEWS  is that they are color blind.. they can only see things through a Jewish perspective.. not the reality.. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2013/11/04/the-problem-even-with-the-messianic-jews-is/

.

Sadly still today  lot of persons add their personal unbiblical, unjustified views when expositoring the Bible.

.

JESUS  HAD WARNED THE JEWS  IN JERUSALEM ABOUT THE DESTRUCTION OF JERUSALEM AND IT’S TEMPLE AND WHY AS WELL.
.
Matthew 23:37,38:O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent to you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not!
.

Luke 19:41-44 And when he (Jesus) was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

.

Isaiah 1:21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

.

Lamentations 1:8 Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.

.

Lamentations 2:13-14 What thing shall I take to witness for thee? what thing shall I liken to thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? what shall I equal to thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Zion? for thy breach is great like the sea: who can heal thee? Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

.

Lamentations 4:11-12 The Lord hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof. The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

.

Predictions about the Temple’s destruction were not original or unique to Jesus. Earlier prophets had said much the same thing as part of their standard litany of how God would punish the corruption of Israel, for example:

“Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.” (Micah 3:12)

 .
Now most of the Jews of their day (especially the Essenes and the Pharisees) even most Jews today  were looking falsely for a Jewish Messiah to come who would restore national Israel, set up an earthly kingdom, and thry thus next were surprised Jesus was talking about the destruction of the temple and the desolation of Israel next instead,  as Jesus  rather indicated the desolation next of the Jews, Israel * and he relatedly prophesied both the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem;  and they of course had expected falsely that anyway next the temple in Jerusalem would be rebuilt, and the nation of Israel would be restored which will never happen again in God ‘s plan…. Matthew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.  so they  had asked , 1  “When will this happen, and 2 what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
 .
The meaning of the term desolate is very clear, The nation of  Israel , Jews next will be replaced as God’s chosen ones.. Acts 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishopric let another take.
Chosen is never again used by God to indicate the Jews but rather only of the Christian church.
 .
John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
 .
John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
 .
John 15
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
.
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
.
1 Peter 2: 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
 .
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
.
1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
 .
and  as to when will Christ come Back..
Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
 .
How close are we to the War that will end all WARS ? just as close a we have been the last 2000 years, the rest is merely false speculation .
 .
Matthew 24: 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only
 .
We all should stick with preaching the Gospel, not the false dispensationaliist lies

*Matthew 24:
1    And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2    And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3    And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
*luke 21:5
5    And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6    As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
20    And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21    Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter there into.
22    For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23    But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24    And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
.

In his well known prophecy about the end of the age recorded by Matthew and Luke, Jesus predicted the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem which came to pass 40 years after his death and resurrection.

.

The Meaning of  The Number 40,   this number 40  symbolizes a period of warning .  The prophet Jonah powerfully warned ancient Nineveh, for forty days, that its destruction would come because of its many sins.

.

What is also very interesting is the note of Eusebius, the Christian historian. Eusebius noted that all Christians were warned and escaped to Pella (History of the Church 3:5). The Gnostic Epiphanes confirmed this too. Jesus gave warning to the disciples to warn those who are in Judea and in Jerusalem to leave (Luke 21:21). This is another amazing miracle!

.

Daniel 9:24-26
Daniel foretold the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple

Deuteronomy 28:49-52
The Bible foreshadowed Rome’s destruction of Israel

Deuteronomy 29:23
Israel would become a wasteland

Luke 19:41-44
Jesus explained why Jerusalem would be destroyed

Luke 21:24
Jesus prophesied that the Jews would be exiled

Matthew 24:1-2
Jesus prophesied that the Temple would be destroyed

Micah 3:11-12
Zion would be “plowed like a field”

.

It may surprise you to discover that the New Testament never uses the term ‘chosen’ to describe the Jewish people. It is only used of those who follow Jesus. http://www.cc-vw.org/articles/zcs2.pdf   Reality  is that the New Testament never uses the term ‘chosen’ to describe the Jewish people. Chosen now it  is only used of those who follow Jesus.. reality! http://wittnessed.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/do-we-all-realy-now-need-to-support-the-jews-now-why/

VALID PERSONS GOING TO HEAVEN  CHRISTIANS DO BASE ALL OF THEIR VALID BIBLICAL DOCTRINES SOLELY ON THE NEW TESTAMENT SUBSTANTIATION BY JESUS OR THE APOSTLES, NOT JUST ON THE  OLD TESTAMENT REFERENCES .
Now also all the promises of God now still only belong to the Christians only as they solely now are  true Israel.. When Christ had Jesus shouted, “It is finished!” the Old Jewish Covenant with God had ended and  AND A COVENANT was made effective, even clearly in the Jerusalem Temple where the curtain, veil  in the Temple was torn
.
Mk  15: 37    And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.38    And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
Lk  23:  42    And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43    And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. 44    And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45    And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46    And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
.
Because of their OWN CLEAR rejection of Jesus Christ even today  as their savior, and as their Lord Messiah all of the Jews had since the time of Jesus Christ stopped being God’s chosen people, their Jerusalem temple was destroyed permanently, and next no new God Ordained temple will be even be rebuilt with God’s approval  anymore even because Jesus Christ himself is the new temple of God. Nor does God approve of the Jews as even  having have any further rights to the promised land anymore as well..  And all of the blessing once reserved  for the Jews have all now been replaced by blessings for Christians only.. too bad some persons  they are  are falsely stuck in the Old Testament.. as they do  also even miss Heaven doing that too.  Sadly even today  they the Jews like Cain are trying to reestablish their own false, INAPPLICABLE, even the old  Judaism, religion now….
.

(Heb 11:4 KJV)  By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

(1 John 3:12 KJV)  Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

(Jude 1:11 KJV)  Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core..

.
You can try to apply any Old Testament verse to Israel as  you want too but it is not necessarily valid, applicable true anymore.. Because of their OWN CLEAR rejection of Jesus Christ even today  as their savior, and as their Lord Messiah all of the Jews had since the time of Jesus Christ stopped being God’s chosen people, their Jerusalem temple was destroyed permanently, and next no new God Ordained temple will be even be rebuilt with God’s approval  anymore even because Jesus Christ himself is the new temple of God. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/08/09/even-heaven-awaits-jewish-return-to-god-jesus-christ-and-rather-not-to-the-promised-earthly-land/
.
Furthermore God whose Name is Yahweh in Hebrew who became flesh and made Himself known TODAY  by His Greek Name which is Jesus AND is solely  used and applicable,  the Greek Name even meaning Christos, the anointed one who anoints one with the Holy Spirit and not any of the Hebrew names..  No Jews personal  praise   of God is now even accepted by God especially in their   even their unredeemed and  sinful state,  sins now. Their praise do not reach God  as their uncovered  sins  suffocate them. Nor does God approve of the Jews as even  having have any further rights to the promised land anymore as well..
 http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2010/09/23/even-as-to-the-promised-land/
. .
Do note again that because of  their OWN CLEAR rejection of Jesus Christ even today  as their savior, and as  their Lord Messiah all of the Jews had since the time of Jesus Christ stopped  being God’s chosen people, their  Jerusalem temple was destroyed permanently, and  next no new God Ordained temple will be even be rebuilt  with God’s approval  anymore even because Jesus Christ himself is the new temple of God. Sadly even today  they the Jews like Cain are trying to reestablish their own false, INAPPLICABLE, even the old  Judaism, religion now….

.

Messianic Jews and the Seventh day Adventists, Judaizers still do falsely teach that we must all abide by all the necessary “laws” of the Holy Bible whilst also keeping all the scriptures of Jesus commandments . The use of the word “laws” in the Old Testament Bible, specifically does specially mean the Mosaic “laws”, or the “laws” of the Torah, all the “laws” of the first 5 books of the Bible. Also when Jesus refers to the “law” he himself now means all of the 613 “laws” of the Old Covenant. This, of course, includes the Ten Commandments but is not limited to them. But the old covenant “laws” themselves were only valid until the coming of Christ firstly. True Christians do not mix the Old and New Covenants “laws”, laws as defined by the New testament, nor do they rightfully now support any of the Judaizers and their “laws”, all those persons who want to keep the Torah “laws” and just add Jesus to it. Today the entire Old Covenant “laws” was to be casted out by the Christian but we must all still follow His new teachings that are valid in the New Covenant as per (Galatians 4:21-31). The New Covenant teachings of Jesus did not include Sabbath-keeping “laws”and many other “laws”of the now obsolete Torah. True Christians believe that the “laws” has been completely abrogated and replaced with the Law of Christ.; Messianic Jews. and the Seventh day Adventists,Judaizers do still try to uphold invalid laws, part of the Bible falsely do draw people away from the truth of Jesus Christ. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/07/14/messianic-judaism-today/

 .

BY THE WAY THERE ALSO IS NO NEW TESTAMENT REFERENCE, THAT SUBSTANTIATED THE 3RD JEWISH RETURN TO THE HOLY LAND, THE PROMISE LAND. http://postedat.wordpress.com/2008/12/09/what-the-bible-says-about-israel-and-the-church  http://mccainvrsobama.wordpress.com/2009/08/01/israels-past-promised-land/
.

Too many fundamentals, professing Christians now falsely do that the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948 was prophesied in Scripture while there is no direct support of this in the New Testament Bible even still. Zionism, on the other hand, “is a secularist, largely atheistic ideology” that emerged in the late 19th century. God still does not require the human input to fulfill his own prophecies. Now too many Christian Zionists, extremists do falsely do now believe that in order to fulfill all of the Biblical prophecy, Israel must next conquer most of the Middle East. And anyone watched the mostly self centered, get richer TV evangelists such as a Pat Robertson or John Hagee and their distorted sermons scenarios involving the future “Rapture,” Jesus Christ and also Israel, should also quickly firstly now realize that these false prophets are not only fleecing, scaring their flock to give more money but falsely are into worshipping the false idol of Israel. .John Hagee pays himself over a million dollars a year in TAX FREE money while having several palaces to live in, like the $2.1 million 7,969-acre ranch outside Brackettville, Texas , with five lodges, including a “main lodge” and a gun locker.;Once considered a small marginal doctrine among evangelicals, the false dispensationalist theology of Christian Zionism has greatly escalated, ironically falsely with the help of jess, Messianic Jews, Judaizers and many others too. The reality still is that the parable of the vineyard (Matt 21:33-43) clearly shows that the Christian Church totally now rather succumbs all of the past promises made to Israel. Be careful about accepting anyone’s word about Christian Zionism do first read the Bible, New Testament for yourself and know the truth rather. http://witnessed.wordpress.com/2008/07/29/the-2-promised-returns/
.

AS TO  I am not quite sure about what you mean regarding “justification of any of Israel’s past or present acts.” INCLUDES THEIR MURDER OF INNOCENT CITIZENS, CHRISTIANS TOO OFTEN NOW TOO.. http://thenonconformer.wordpress.com/2010/06/16/what-the-canadian-conservatives-do-not-say-about-israel/

Again so what does the word chosen mean in the Bible and Chosen for what? For a job? a purpose? for suffering? to bear fruit? as a witness? READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF AND FIND OUT THE MEANING OF THE WORD CHOSEN..

.

(Deu 7:6 KJV)  For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

(Deu 12:21 KJV)  If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

(Deu 16:11 KJV)  And thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.

(Deu 18:5 KJV)  For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

(Deu 21:5 KJV)  And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:

(Josh 24:22 KJV)  And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

(Judg 10:14 KJV)  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.

(1 Sam 8:18 KJV)  And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.

(1 Sam 10:24 KJV)  And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that there is none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.

(2 Sam 6:1 KJV)  Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

(Psa 105:43 KJV)  And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

(Psa 106:5 KJV)  That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

(Isa 48:10 KJV)  Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

(Isa 58:5 KJV)  Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

(Isa 58:6 KJV)  Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

(Isa 65:15 KJV)  And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

(Isa 66:3 KJV)  He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

(Jer 8:3 KJV)  And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.

(Jer 33:24 KJV)  Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

(Jer 49:19 KJV)  Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

(Hag 2:23 KJV)  In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

(Rev 17:14 KJV)  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

.

If you claim to be chosen by God then this is what you have been chosen still to do an follow his will..
  .
Psalm 105:43 And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen ones with gladness {and} singing, 44 And gave them the lands of the nations [of Canaan], and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor, 45 That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
 .
You have been chosen to love and to obey God, to follow him in all of His ways, to be His slaves, His servants, and to continually pray to God, and to  praise, worship the Lord Jesus Christ.

. The only main portion of the Bible that you really need to read, to follow  is the New Testament because we are no longer under Old Testament covenant, law  –  essentially the   the New Testament replaces the basic requirements of the  Law and the Prophets of the Old Testament.  Believers should still embrace the whole Word of God but now they do not follow the non applicable old testament laws, rituals. The Old Testament has been superseded by the New Testament. We are not under the old testament laws but under those laws  solely in the new testament… the law of the spirit..(Rom 8:2 KJV)  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
.

The sole basis of the Christian faith today, which is why it is also called the New Testament as well, is not at all the Old Testament Judaism but the New Testament Jesus. The true Christians since Jesus Christ next always left their old Jewish Synagogues all together… and all Christian Jews, Messianic Jews too need to do this today as well, also they are supposed to give up their Jewish roots, Jewish culture, Jewish religion when they accept Jesus Christ as their master, lord and savior . Some clerics, theologians, and scholars have worked hard to recover the supposedly historical Jewish Jesus. why? Ironically this rather was aided also by the Jews, Judiazers, even the false Christians themselves who falsely wanted it seems to promote their own self importance, the false value of the now rather false, obsolete old Judaic religion, and it’s also still the false observation of the Old testament letter of the law over the New Testament spirit of the law approach. It is an ungodly act still too.

(Acts 20:29 KJV) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. (1 Tim 4:1 KJV) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

.

Old Israel being God’s people for they still will go to hell LIKE MANY PROFESSING CHRISTIANS WILL if they personally reject Christ and do not continue to follow after him. (Mat 7:21 KJV) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Rom 2:9 KJV) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

.

Real Jews, real Christians look solely unto the heavenly Jerusalem Hebrews 11:8-10 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

.

Some   Christians today interpret Romans 11:26 as applying to the end of the seven-year tribulation when Jesus appears in the clouds at His Second Coming. In other words, they don’t apply the verse to all Jews throughout history, but only to “all Jews” who are alive at the end. Supposedly, at the end of the tribulation, all remaining Jews in Israel will look up, see Christ coming in the clouds, realize He is the true Messiah, believe in Him, and thus “All Israel will be saved.”This is a false teaching, Rather the immediate context of Romans 11:26 is vs. 25. When “the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,” then “all Israel will be saved.” Or, to be exact, “And so all Israel will be saved.” including both the remnant  Jews and gentiles.. In other words, the coming in of the fullness or total number of the Gentiles results in “all Israel” …being saved. Paul’s idea seems to be that when all Gentiles (totally, throughout history) have come in, that is, have been grafted into the Vine, they, uniting with all Jews who have become believers, will form the total number of the saved. The Israel of God is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:29). The “all Israel that is saved” does not apply to all Jews throughout history, nor can it apply to a select favored group who become instant believers when Jesus Christ comes crashing down through the sky. By that time, it is too late to believe.
.
GOD HAD DESTROYED THE JERUSALEM TEMPLE  AS JESUS HAD STATED AND IT WOULD NEVER BE REBUILT BECAUSE HE JESUS CHRIST NOW WAS THE TEMPLE http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/jewishtemple.htm
.
The clearly unbiblical Christian Zionism is essentially the  fundamental Christians and Messianic Jews support for Zionism where Zionism today is  a Jewish’s support,  political system based on ethnic exclusivity giving Jews preferential political rights which are denied to Palestinians.  It has been gained support more by the TV Evangelsists over any valid Bible references. The United Nations itself  has officially defined Zionism as a form of racism and apartheid and most of the world agrees with this .Zionists are part of a   a broad coalition which not only helps keep Israel’s ’s racist government in power and is also , helping to shape the aggressive stance of US foreign policy in the Middle East today.  Rev Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and Hal Lindsey.  Oral Roberts, Mike Evans, Tim LaHaye, Kenneth Copeland, Paul Crouch, Ed McAteer, Jim Bakker, Franklin Graham, James Dobson, Chuck Missler and Jimmy Swaggart had become falsely supporters of the Zionist State. George Bush Snr., Bill Clinton and George W. Bush , Ronald Reagan,  have also maintained a strong pro-Zionist position of their predecessors. The influence of the Zionist lobby is the most powerful in the United States States. The mass-media circulation Tel Aviv daily Ha’aretz iss claiming “60 percent of all financial help to Democrats came from Jewish sources.
.

IT IS EVIDENT THAT  MUCH OF ZIONIST  FALSE THEOLOGY IS BASED ON ISOLATED VERSES OF SCRIPTURES SPECIFICALLY NEGLECTING ALL THE VERSE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.
.

Now we all do really have freedom of religion, freedom of choice, freedom of speech, the right to be heard now as well.. I clearly do believe in the right of everyone to speak, to speak out as well, and to be equally heard by all, so we can all judge what has been said if it is appropriate and we can next corresponding act upon it, even in the church, in the government, on the internet now too. Clearly some bad people falsely still DO DISALLOW THIS RIGHT… the really bad persons especially as even I know this for sure as they falsely refuse the whole to be shared even as  to who they are firstly. They respond with a personal attack, inquisition, censorship, lies, slanders, diversions, distortions, instead of facing, dealing with the facts, truths being presented. Confirming to many what they still are really like, immoral, abusive bullies. http://witnessed.wordpress.com/2012/04/11/now-about-the-abusers-bullies-thugs-proud-oppressors-war-mongers/

so what do you do about bad Church elders?

The Church Leader’s Dilemma:

Follow Apostle Paul , Jesus and live by faith in God

Or

Accept a fixed Pay and be controlled by others

OR

STEAL LIKE JUDAS DID?

Imagine that Priests now even today stealing  the tithes too.

http://postedat.wordpress.com/2010/01/09/and-who-do-you-follow-jesus-or/

EVEN IF A GROUP HOLDS TO SOME VALID TRUTHS SUCH AS
– Jesus Christ is the sole Savior, Lord of your life.
– The concept of the restoration of the Tabernacle of David. Praise & Worship emphasized as a means to usher (1) in God’s presence and (2) to usher God’s people into His presence. Singing in the spirit congregationally, I.e. in other tongues. The “song of the Lord” a prophetic song or one in other tongues but interpreted
– The belief that God has now restored all the ministry gifts back to the Church, especially the office of the prophet and apostle {this is where today’s prophetic/apostolic move comes from}.
– The practice of laying on of hands to be filled with the Holy Spirit (and the evidence of speaking in other tongues).
– The practice of laying on of hands to impart spiritual gifts
– The belief Christians can be demonized and need to be delivered through the laying on of hands.
– Divine healing is obtained by faith and also is imparted via the laying on of hands
– Emphasis on spiritual warfare
– Emphasis on personal and directive prophecy
– Anointed Women have a full and equal ministry role in the Church, I.e. women pastors, prophetesses, elders, etc.
– The Rapture, the second coming of Christ is inevitable, soon
– Emphasis on Missions, evangelism, the Bible, a Pastor..

The same group can still be false, led by false men and not by the Holy Spirit.

As most anyone should know Good, spiritual  elders are an essential back bone of any church.. sadly I have too often also have encountered immoral, pretentious, unqualified elders in Brethren, Baptist and Pentecostal churches.

So what do you do with the bad ones, yes pretenders, imposters, the liars, and the playboy magazine reading elders  I have often encountered too.

Well I simply expose them to all, I tell the truth as to what they are like, in writing.. for somehow unless it is in writing most people tend not to believe you or to act upon it.

( Prov 27:5 KJV)  Open rebuke is better than secret love.

(Rev 3:19 KJV)  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

and who inspired me firstly to do this..

The head elder Jesus Christ himself who uses the same technique, and   Apostle Paul now too, and do you think that unrepentant persons personal sins were mentioned accidently in the Bible?

I was also actually inspired to do this by 2 different good elders I had encountered when I was a teen, who did not put up with dishonest, immoral persons in the church but rather rebuked them clearly and often before all too now.

I was specifically thinking yesterday t  that false preachers do not talk about sins..

so what do you do about bad Church elders? Tell them and next if need be  tell everyone the truth about them!
