Baptized with the Holy Spirit and even filled with the Holy Spirit yet?

.
I have been a Christian for about 50 years and I too have learned that you can not choose just the parts of the Bible, the New Testament included that you like and neglect the rest as next you will walk in darkness, led  to do so even by the Holy Spirit.
,
Being filled  and also being Baptized with the Holy Spirit in the  New Testament both are not   a gradual process of the professing Christian believer solely yielding to the Holy Spirit, merely having more of the fruit of the Holy Spirit,  so that the Holy Spirit has more of the believer rather it is undeniably and clearly in the New testament an instantaneous, immediate filling and Baptism of the Holy Spirit experience. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a term used to describe a movement of the Spirit upon and/or within a believer usually   after the person is saved. While “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” We Christians have certainly not all have been empowered by the Holy Spirit yet. There are those who are “nominal ” Christians and there those who are “experienced  ” Christians ,those who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit.
.
Many professing Christians are still not real Christians now, these days too, because most people have never even firstly had studied, read what the Bible actually says nor have they been taught by the Holy Spirit  firstly, not even many preachers.
 .
The  baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy spirit, the Anointing , Tongues, Prophets, Apostles, Miracle workers, tithing now too, the promised land, the prosperity gospel have become unarguably the most overused, overworked, misunderstood, misinterpreted, contentious terms in the news media, in the non Pentecostal and in the Non Charismatic arenas, especially in the extreme fundamental religious circles and now all even because many of these people are mostly still serving self, doing their own thing, looking up to mere man and not God.   They do not have God’s understanding of the subject cause they do not have the Holy Spirit.. so they are none of His
.

The testimony of John the Baptist shows us that when the Lord Jesus baptizes anyone after their Salvation  with the Holy Spirit, it also next takes place at a moment in time. This was what happened even on the day of Pentecost.

.

Acts 2:2-4 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributing themselves, and they rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.

.

It was not a gradual process; it was not a question of yielding to the Holy Spirit already dwelling within them. It was the Holy Spirit coming upon them and filling them. This becomes clearer as we look at other passages in the Book of Acts that describe how believers were filled with the Holy Spirit. For example, when Peter preached to Cornelius and those who were with him, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message and they received the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:44-45).

.
Peter recounted this event in Acts 11:15-16:

.

Acts 11:15-16 15 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.” 16 “And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

.

Peter explained that what took place was the baptism with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit fell upon them and they spoke in tongues instantaneously now as well.

.

We can see this also in Acts 8:15-17. In verse 15, the apostles prayed for the Samaritan believers that they might receive the Holy Spirit. Then we read in verses 16 and 17:

.

Acts 8:16-17 16 For He had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.

.

These persons they  were already believers, they already have had the Holy Spirit within them, but the Holy Spirit was now coming upon them to empower them.

.

Or are you one who still falsely tries to explain away these New Testament Bible truths? and really why is that now?

.

While in the old Testament  isolated occurrences involved people whom the Lord specially called and empowered  by the Holy Spurt for specific roles and responsibilities But in in the  New Testament God is willing to empower all Christians who have received the lord Jesus Christ as their savior to all have the Holy Sprit’s empowerment.  I can see why some of the preacher differentiates the baptism with the Holy Spirit from being filled with the Holy Spirit  as being  supported from the Scriptures as they are very different experiences even, It is important to recognize that it is still now  God’s will for all believers to be baptized with the Spirit and also to to be continually  filled with the Holy Spirit.
.
Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
.
Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
 .
Acts 4:7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
 .
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
 .
I still find it really now absurd that so many people are experts to speak on the Baptism, filling of the Holy Sprit when they clearly have never had such an experience it.. as Jesus had said you can tell them what they are  by their fruits, rather even  their clear  ignorance of the Holy Spirit still.
 .
There sadly and not unexpectedly is much controversy and debate about the baptism with the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Holy Spirit especially since the devil opposes it and falsely stirs people to oppose it. .
 .
Imagine this also some clearly ignorant people falsely would  try to say that because any subject is controversial, it is wrong, should be ignored, avoided, etc. especially the Baptism of the Holy Spirit where it  it seems  to be mostly opposed falsely by  the dispensationalist and the  the Baptist denominations which  still also  falsely believe  that all Christians they do receive the Holy Spirit upon conversion and they now do not need the evidence of speaking in other tongues, but yet they clearly do mostly  not manifest any empowerment of the Holy Spirit still.. .
 .
Yes the Baptism of  The Holy Spirit  as per John 3:1-18  is a very controversial subject or some in the modern day church nevertheless one that keeps popping up because it is ordained by God to do so. A Christian has initially the Holy Spirit of GOD within them by faith upon conversion  if they have specially asked for it firstly, nut most have not and do not even know anything about the subject of the Holy Spirit even.. But still all Christian believer must experience an outward manifestation of the Holy Spirit ‘s empowerment   at some other point in their walk with GOD in Christ hopefully but most falsely still do not.. For we don’t know what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit market intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth the mind of the Spirit because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will Of GOD, Jude: 20 & Romans 8:26-27. , Isaiah 28:11-12 & 33:19. It  Whatever it may be we must  pray to the the Holy Spirit teach us the whole truth here too, as we are commanded to do so,
 .
Yes under the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit filling scenario is different.from the Old Testament. Of course, submission to God, yielding to the working and guidance of the Holy Spirit are important issues in our lives, but being baptized with the Spirit or having the fullness of the Spirit is not merely yielding to the Holy Spirit already dwelling in the heart of the believer. It is the Holy Spirit coming upon the believer and filling him, empowering him, changing him
 .
It is God’s intention for all His children to be indwelt by the Holy Spirit, continually filled with the Holy Spirit, and be led, taught and empowered by the Spirit in every aspect of their lives. Sadly, many of God’s children are not filled with the Holy Spirit. This has significant implications on their spiritual growth and their contribution to the advancement of God’s kingdom. If you have it you would know for sure, it would have changed your own personal Christian life dramatically.
 .
There are much too many professing Christian believers who do not pay due attention to the role and ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives. As a result, they experience almost none   the life and power of the Spirit. This significantly hinders their spiritual growth and service. This is so even   they are incapable to  participate in any Christian programs and activities.
 .
There are various reasons for their neglect of the ministry of the Holy Spirit, such as being ignorant of this area of truth and being over-reliant on personal capabilities, unrepentant sins,  and effort to work out their faith  and the excesses of those who over-emphasize of their inflated egos still.
 .
As with any position in doctrines, those who oppose  that baptism with the Holy Spirit is accompanied by tongues really do need to substantiate such a position clearly from the Scriptures but they rightfully have not been able to do so. They would rather confuse the issue deliberately it seems still proving the devil is controlling them rather still.
 .
To be a Christian is based on the Greek word anointed one, Christos, a person in whom  we can see the anointing of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.. do we see yours easily? or do you like bullying others too much still? doing your own thing?
 .
(Acts 10:38 KJV)  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
.
(1 John 3:21 KJV) I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: 2 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. The word “Christ” is a transliteration of the Greek word christos, meaning “the Anointed One,    Jesus was the anointed one. Jesus is the Messiah and  the transliteration of the Old Testament Hebrew word pronounced maw-shakh, meaning Anointed One, which when translated into the New Testament Greek is Christos. Matt. 3:11, “As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
.

Peter told his convicted hearers, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”

.

Beyond the show of a doubt the devil himself firstly really hates any references to the Holy Spirit, the anointed ones, the idea that Christians do have now empowering to overcome the devil too…
 .
and so now the devil uses any of his followers, those many still  in the fundamental religious circles too now, to now lie, twist, distort the truths.
.
It’s the frequent and methodical strategy of those people not Holy spirit filled, those carnal people walking in the flesh that they do bash, recite against anyone who has evidenced the Holy Spirit anointing still too, but we all can see these false professors own false, unscriptural doctrine and practice. It’s now a charge of their “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” and their disobedience of “touch not the Lord’s anointed.”
 .

The New Testament scriptural presentation is that there two events, the baptism with the Holy Spirit and being filled with the Holy Spirit. Those who are baptised with the Holy Spirit experience being empowered, equipped by the Holy Spirit. .  Thus the “Baptism with the Holy Spirit”  is a reference to the experience when Christ baptizes us with the Holy Spirit whereas “being filled with the Spirit” describes  the holy Spirit’s prescience in our lives.. And so, when we are baptized with the Spirit, we are also filled with the Spirit but we also do have to be refilled but this is not so  with the baptism with the Holy Spirit .
This understanding of the two expressions is consistent with the scriptural presentation of the experience of the fullness of the Spirit when one is baptised with the Spirit and Paul’s injunction in Ephesians 5:18 to be filled and continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The injunction implies that a believer may or may not have experienced the gifts, empowerment, equipping  of the Spirit and there are those who have must take care that they continue to be filled. The original text of Ephesians 5:18 has the sense “be filled and continue to be filled”. It is meant to be a continuing reality, not just an experience at a moment in time. The fullness of the Spirit is a reality that we need to maintain if we have already been Baptized personality by the Holy Spirit.

.

The Scriptures still clearly exhorts all believers to be Baptized now and to be personally  filled with the Holy Spirit.  Ephesians 5:18: “Be filled with the Spirit”. Why would there even be a need to be filled if you had it already now?  Jesus promises us that he will Baptize us with the Holy Spirit and Paul’s exhortation in Ephesians 5:18 makes it clear that even though it is also still God’s intention for all to be filled with the Spirit, not all are filled nor Baptized, and Paul’s exhortation implies that we can do  now something about it.
.
So have you personally now you been Baptized with the Holy Spirit and even filled with the Holy Spirit again?
