1. Sincere convictions regarding their doctrines, emphases, and practices.
2. An unsound biblical basis for their doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
3. An over-emphasis of one gift of the Holy Spirit.
4. An under-emphasis of other doctrines.
5. Their “experience” orientation.
6. The undermining of the personality of the Holy Spirit.
7. Spiritual pride and disunity produced by their doctrine.
8. The teaching that tongues-speaking is a sign of spirituality and even of salvation.
9. Sign-seeking instead of faith.
10. Questionable activities practiced and condoned.
11. The fear of questioning the so-called activities of the Holy Spirit.
12. The view that the Corinthian church was a model church.
13. The danger of claiming extra-biblical revelation.
14. The excesses and deceptive practices condoned in divine healing campaigns.
15. The tendency to blind, unquestioning devotion to popular leaders.
16. The possibility that the Charismatic Movement will be instrumental in producing the prophesied world ecumenical church of the last days.
17. Their distortion of the true Spirit-filled life.
>Miracles (divine intervention suspending natural law) have ceased (Zech 13:1-4). God is still all-powerful, but he is today working providentially. The miracles of the New Testament were temporary, confirming Jesus was the Christ, and the apostles were his messengers (John 3:2; Acts 1:8). When the New Testament revelation was completed (1 Cor 13:8-10), miracles ceased (Mark 16:19-20; Heb.2:3-4). The New Testament is complete (Jude 3, John 16:13). The word is what we need to guide us (2 Tim 3:160.
>As a Pentecostal, I never saw a miracle like the lame or blind healed or the dead raised. They came unhealed and left unhealed. One of the greatest “miracles” of Pentecostalism was that I did not have the eyes to see the truth (2 Thess 2:9-12), but let the power of suggestion and emotions blind me.
You went to the wrong church, for I have seen miracles the last 50 decades, real ones and often, and if you humbly seek God and not do your own thing you will find him here on earth, he is all around all of us too.. http://afollowerofchrist.multiply.com/
And the answers to the question as to why some have left the church is not more important then as to why some persons have next left their Faith altogether. In my lifetime 50 percent of once loudly professing Christians, like the Apostle Judas left the faith altogether, basically cause God did not give them what they had wanted, hoped, expected initially.. so they no longer had any use for God.. for they had falsely used religion as a mere tool to advance themselves, or to prosper, or whatever.. and when they did not get what they wanted.. they gave it up on their religion too easily… and generally tend to blame others for doing so in the process too
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
(Rom 8:7 KJV) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(1 Cor 3:1 KJV) And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
(1 Cor 3:3 KJV) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
(1 Cor 3:4 KJV) For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?Mind you Jesus said by their fruits you tell what they are like.. which include their love, joy, peace, gentleness, meekness, patience’s, faith.. since gifts operating in faith, the amount you have or the lack thereof..
My real often reality is that even most so called Christians today when the see a miracle, they try to deny it, explain it away.. but they did that also in Jesus time now too.. so what else is new?
If you read the Book of acts then you did notice that the emphasis on the Holy Spirit, and distributing money, food to the local poor people was part of the reason the churches next were so popular and growing. While in contrast today many Churches. pastors, members, adherents, are selfish cheapskates. True pastors, elders, ministers would firstly daily read their Bible for one hour and pray daily for others. And what people need firstly is getting the book of acts Pentecostal experiences.. and they will naturally next care for the poor people, act like real anointed Christians.
I admit there are much too many even crooked pastors around these days for my liking, and in my own witness, experiences the last 4 decades too.. MONEY WAS THE SECOND REASON often that CHRISTIAN FIGHTS have ESCALATED.. MONEY, HOW IT WAS BEING COLLECTED AND SPENT BECAME AN ISSUE TOO http://postedat.wordpress.com/2009/05/28/secret-tithing/
“The ignorance of the Bible and the works of the Holy Spirit have placed many people, churches, radio and television ministries, and itinerant ministries in jeopardy for their very existence because they are so desperate for success, numbers and money that they are ready to chase after any experience or anybody whom they think will attract people to them. There are many people today who do not know their Scriptures and the penalties that come from straying away from them. They are like the Sadducees of whom Jesus said, “You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God” (Matt. 22: 29; Mk. 12: 24).”
(Gal 6:7 KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Actually the degree of negative personal consequences also are determined as to how quickly you on your own had repented of your major sins, or did Gold almost have to force you into confession of your sins as he did to King David And many People would know that already too had they actually read the Bible as they lying often claim they do too.
Where is the power of God that we see in the Old and New testament Prophets, in Christ and in the Apostles? And what are we doing that is now different in the Church from that I read of in the book of Acts in the Bible? Why do we not see this power.. Is it’s God’s fault or ours rather still?
Too Many Christians are doing their own thing, trying to live a life without Jesus, without even taking to him now often too.. Jesus himself hath said without me you can do nothing.. nothing!!! we all should stop hero worshipping mere men and start rather to worshipping God alone.
Just like today in social aid, the people receiving social aid they now cannot own major tangible property, real estate, so any of the people, priests receiving the old testament tithes they also could not own any major tangible, real estate properties.. but today the false priest, pastors who are demanding on receiving tithes they falsely also do want to still own a home… to enjoy the monetary rewards of both.. they are still equivalent of welfare cheats!!!!

All of the things you’ve mentioned may well be reasons for which some have left the church – but here’s another reason or two: the preacher’s sermons are too long, unprepared, uninteresting, and too judgmental! The Gospel is “Good news.” Much preaching tends to be “bad news.” One could point to “remove the beam out of your own eye…” “Judge not that ye be not judged…”, “for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy…”, but you get the idea.

We seem not to mind sitting for hours in front of the black or red boxes of Hell, the TV or computers, but for sure 2 hours in a boring man or mere mind led Church service is really still much too long.. unless you attend a lively Holy Spirit Led, Pentecostal church, with Praise, Worship, Prophecies and much more.. but there the services start at 6 pm and end past midnight, and not just Sunday or Monday but even 5 days a week.. and there was at least 1500 young people for a Sunday and Wednesday night meeting too.. I attended such great services for years too.
Unlike the Holy Spirit inspired sermons the Man made sermons are void of real power.. mere imposters, pretenders still.. but what can you expect from people who do not know the Holy Spirit personally, have in reality not been anointed by Him yet too.
On top of that for decades I never have sold any of the Gospel for money, nor have I ever asked for money for the minstry, I took no offerings too, etc., for as I have freely received from Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit so I give it out freely, even to the rich or poor, for I am not a hireling, I rather do really live by Faith in God and his Word, His Son, and I trust God to supply what I need for the ministry still too.
By the way I still expect all of the preachers to practice what they preach to others personally too such as “” the preacher’s sermons are too long, unprepared, uninteresting, and too judgmental! One could point to “remove the beam out of your own eye…” “Judge not that ye be not judged…”,” and thus in your own reply I could not help but notice how judgmental you now still were too.. sadly it does seem hypocritical on your part too.
Thanks for the comment.. but I would leave your church now too,,
and you got it wrong.. the Full Gospel is both good news and bad news.. the bad news is many professing Christians are still going to Hell says Jesus himself and the Apostles.
(Rom 8:29 KJV) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
(Rom 12:2 KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I got sick and tired of intruding in private religious social clubs (even the smallest groups). People have already established their cliques and pecking order and don’t need anybody else. Even if you’re neat, clean, and friendly, they’ll leave you to sit alone and hardly speak to you. Well, I’ve had it with institutional churchianity! It’s a one-day-a-week deal with most folks, and even then, once the hallelujah song service is over and the “closing prayer” is intoned by the preacher, people go back to buzzing about ball games, what’s for dinner, what other people are wearing, etc. It’s cheaper for me to freeze at home than pay bus fare to get frozen out at “church”. No, I don’t feel lonely. Jesus and me, we’ve got a good thing goin’.

Once bitten twice shy, but if you fall off the horse and if you do not get back on you generally next never will
50 percent of the Christians I know eventually fall away from God for wrong personal reasons too
Almost nothing in life can match a good marriage, and almost nothing in life is as bad as a marriage that has gone bad too.. same is true of a good church
of course we know that the devil will keep you away from the church firstly.
To me a good church is like a good restaurant, I am happy and well fed.. of course I hate bad restaurants too but I do not stop going to a restaurant cause there are bad restaurants now too.. I do not throw out the baby with the wash water … sadly most churches I went to now were really boring, bad.. but there are good churches even if sometime very hard to find.. Keep the faith.. find a good church.. forsaking not the fellowshipping of one with another
One thing that has really helped me is that when I go to a church I generally refuse to listen to the preacher or to talk to him, I go instead to listen only to God there… and I am not disappointed.
The full Gospel is not good news,. it is the good and bad news..
I used to go to church 5 days a week, evenings from 6 pm to 12 pm, because their churches services were holy spirit filled, holy spirit inspired.. and you can spot such services, churches, cause you cannot predict what will happen from one minute to the next unless those too often bad, predicable churches, services.. legalistic, dead churches.. God churches have good prayer warriors firstly, and people who apply the Bible, teaching of Jesus.
SOME PEOPLE REALLY HATE TO HEAR, READ THE TRUTH FOR IT RIGHTFULLY MAKES THEM FEEL SHAMED, DISGUSTED WITH THEMSELVES, BAD PASTORS, BAD COPS, BAD PEOPLE ESPECIALLY.. OSTRICH DENIAL..

Church Revivals do often happen, and can happen in any church as well.. it is conditional on weekly, regularly praying for it, and seeking God with a whole heart as well.. but unfortunately when I have seen revivals, I love them too, I have seen many of them but often I have also seen the wheat and the tares coexisting at these revivals.. some of people continually attending the revival who refused to be changed themselves, even some of the leaders now too.. I had a particular acquaintance of mind attend church for hours 5 days a week even during a revival with no change is his life.. when I prayed about it God said he allowed the person to see the kingdom of heaven from afar but he will still not enter into it next… I have often encountered such typical interested only persons.. sad.
Personal revival is what God wants first.. that begins in our daily, home, life with him too.
(Eph 5:27 KJV) That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
(1 Pet 1:19 KJV) But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Remember in the book of Act first revival, Pentecost, the next some people died, were judged by God..
I made a study of historical past revivals and wars , cause had noted revivals often had came first and serious large scale wars came next.. and many were killed in the wars who had refused to be spiritually revived before the war.. frightening ..
God is not mocked what a person sows he reaps.. some people have approached the Lord’s table unworthily and next suffer for it..
To me a sad clue for a still unspiritual person is reflected by the amount of time he or she actually goes to a prayer meeting.. I have known of many a persons who have been professing Christians for decades and yet never went to a Wednesday night prayer meeting.
One thing that really, really bothers me when so many Churches cancel some of their services for the summer holidays, or to allow people to be with they families.. no wonder many of these churches are dead next still..
http://comeholyspirit.wordpress.com/2008/11/19/the-last-days-outpouring-of-the-holy-spirit/
(2 Cor 13:11 KJV) Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Many people are falsely led these days to believe they can have, attain anything they want, which is not so.. Jesus Christ predetermines what is good, needful, essential personally for you.
The same Jesus Christ who has said (John 15:5 KJV) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
WHEN I WAS A YOUNG MAN I WAS IN A CHURCH SERVICE WHERE A LONG WINDED UNSPIRITUAL PREACHER WAS PREACHING.. he next asked the congregation for more time to finish his wasteful sermon. THE HEAD ELDER NEXT ADDRESSED HIM AND TOLD HIM TO SIT DOWN HE HAD WASTED ENOUGH OF THEIR TIME. That did more good overall also than one merely patiently sitting there wafting for the service to be over.
(Prov 27:5 KJV) Open rebuke is better than secret love. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.(1 Tim 5:20 KJV) Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. 22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure. (Rev 3:19 KJV) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.(Rev 3:21 KJV) To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (Rev 3:22 KJV) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. (Gal 3:28 KJV) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
